I don't know either, and have never seen one like it but if you submit a ticket at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk, either Ian or one of the Akella guys may be able to help you out. If you post the ticket, make sure to include your system specs (a copy of your Dxdiag file is best). I have a feeling this may have to do with your hardware or drivers.

You need to launch the game with full admin rights if you have User Access Control enabled in Windows (which it is, by default). Right-click and choose "Run as admin" from the Properties.
As for "logging into battlefront"? The login for the main site is not linked to the forum login in any way. It's a separate account. You have one if you purchased from us automatically. Go to www.battlefront.com/lostpw and enter the email address you used during the purchase.
The helpdesk at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk on the other hand does not require any login at all (but you *can* login with the same credentials as for the main site).

The info was (and still is) correct up until the NATO module. It applies to Marines and British modules, but not NATO. I will correct the info. Thanks for pointing it out.

I don't know what you mean with "license #"? Make sure you use the right key for the right game. Other than that, I suggest you post a support ticket at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk, but you'll have to describe the problem that you are having in more details in order for us to point you in the right direction.

You can look up your license key in your online account at www.battlefront.com at any time. After logging in, click on "My Account" from the top menu.
If you forgot your login (it's different than your forum login!), go to www.battlefront.com/lostpw to retrieve a new random password and your username (the username is called "user account" in the email).

Hmm, looks like a bug in the patch itself. The files show fine in the SouthGambit installer, but I am able to duplicate the problem (1 KB files) with the Patch.
We'll update the patch, I've alerted Akella about the issue.

War Raven, please submit a support ticket at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk. It rarely takes more than a few days for product to arrive. We usually ship from Germany to European customers.
-
Yes, 1.21 is required for NATO. The patch is on the CD (if you ordered a mail or mail&download version).
-
Open up the game folder and then the subfolder EDITOR. The help files for the editor are in there (as html files).

Was the building partially damaged? CMSF is tracking a couple of levels of structural damage IIRC and starting with the first (lightest) one already, it probably assumes an abstracted level of damage creating loopholes even if now windows or doors were originally present.

We are shipping with USPS for domestic and many international orders. We are using Deutsche Post (parent of DHL) in Europe mostly. But keep in mind that the actual postage is only one part of the cost to get the game to you. The S&H you are paying includes the "H" which is handling, and tha accounts for at least 50% and often more of the cost. Someone has to process, pack, declare and send out the order you are placing. That's a considerable cost. At $10 for US domestic orders and EUR 12-15 (depending on the current exchange rate), we're definitely competitive, and like I said, it simply isn't possible to do it cheaper anyway.

Closing redundant threads, leaving one open (not this one but in the General Forum).

We have a list of patch hosts at www.battlefront.com/patches. If you find one of them confusing, use a different one.
Please check the Readme file for saved game and PBEM compatibility, there is a note to that regard.
-
I am going to close this thread, it's enough to have one about the same thing.
-
Isn't it a bit late for that?
No, it probably isn't. Patches do not delete anything on your PC usually, and rarely overwrite anything, and if they do the latter, it's definitely not going to break stuff. Reapplying the (correct) patch correctly (according to instructions and into the right place) will usually solve the issue even if you did a mistake originally.

If you would like support, please submit a support ticket at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk. Make sure to include more details in your description about what is actually happening and what you do, otherwise we won't be able to help.

Some people have and what they do is submit a support ticket at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk. We can associate your online account with your new email address, and you can then retrieve all your order info from your online account. When you submit your ticket, make sure to include as much personal information as you can, full name, address, email address used for the purchase, dates of purchase, payment methods used, last 4 digits of your credit card (if used) etc. This will help us positively identify you (if we can't, then we won't be able to help).

Hi!
There isn't anything to "rethink" because we need to charge what it costs us to deliver the game to you via mail. It's $10 in the US, and $20 for Europe (and other locations lie in between these two). $20 translates to about EUR 12-15, depending on the exchange rate. Not a whole lot if you consider that you are paying for Shipping AND handling.

The Editor is included when you buy South Gambit. If you have PT Boats only, you need the 1.3 patch that's being tested currently (expecting it this week, next week at the latest).
-
Maybe you downloaded the wrong patch?
-
Make sure you install the patch correctly and follow the instructions. Make sure you got the right patch.
-
Essentially, you have two separate games (two different executable files to launch, too).
-
South Gambit has been released today! Also available in a bundle with PT Boats. See the announcement on top of forum for details.
This post is mainly to alert your that the mission editor that comes with South Gambit will also be made available to owners of PT Boats va a v1.3 patch that is currently undergoing final testing stages. We expect to be able to release that later this week.

What he means is that he ordered from www.battlefront.com and received the hardcopy via mail from our European warehouse (in Germany).
