JG11Preusse
Hits are not displayed graphically. ah ..ok. thx for the info, but would be nice if these features would be there like for example in "kharkov achtung panzer"
Phoenix
Has been explained in the past. As I recall the reason is far too much programming effort for very little return.
AstroCat
My understanding this is very much on the list, at least decals first and then actual damage modeling. Even just decals I think would go a long way.
Baneman
For me, actual damage modelling doesn't have to be too remarkable. I'd be quite happy with the "Drooping gun barrel of death" on KO'd tanks.
nachinus
'Destroyed' textures and models would be interesting and a visual help for the player. Any current 3d tacgame have it. Hit decals shouldn't be too hard to add (wild guessing) and are nice for nerds like me who enjoy reconstructing the fight. Achtung Panzer is pretty amazing in that 'forensic tank hit analysis' thingie
Phoenix
This is what Steve had to say about it a couple months back Doh, I should have mentioned the decals thing myself! My guess is we'll implement the hit decals before we have destructible models. There's other benefits to a "decal" system, such as the potential for having customized rank graphics on soldiers, vehicle numbers, building damage decals, etc. I can't promise that all of these things will happen at once, but I can say that once the underlying code is written for decals the foundation will be there. Achtung Panzer is pretty amazing in that 'forensic tank hit analysis' thingie yes ... that was a reason, why i started to ask here in the forum, because destroyed tanks looks like brand new ones and many went my mouse over a destroyed one to check if its destroyed or maybe active.
Phoenix
AFAIK if a tank is dead it will have the "dead" base on it. There may be some FOW included as well.
Dr.Jones
I would still rather see destroyed (more authentic representation) tanks than the dead base below it br. Dr.Jones
Wodin
At least it's on the lsit...it's the only thing I really miss...
Bastables
This Decal thing for showing shell holes will be superb for immersion. After playing a lot of men of war series the lack little shell holes that appear after successful penetrations is quite jarring.
