I've got the voulme control at 100%, my source at 100% etc but it's still quite quiet. *sigh* I mean...I work with the buggers. I built the damn thing. What am I forgetting? gunnergoz Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 Look out for other little software bits that may be setting sound settings and running in the background. Sometimes older sound drivers get overwritten or even deleted but the settings seem to live on in driver hell. Check your processes and apps in Task Manager and see if you can ID anything remotely to do with audio. Also could be things like chat programs or Skype-like utilities. Loose pin running to/from speakers to the sound/system board? Hearing aid turned down? Somewhat more sane answer. If you have room for a pair of powered desktop speakers, plug them into the headphone jack. Since your headphones work, this should do it.
