Christmas present from Bob Woodward to John Kettler

Just for you JK. Knock your socks off, but don't hurt yourself.

The dramatic drop in violence in Iraq is due in large part to a secret program the U.S. military has used to kill terrorists, according to a new book by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Bob Woodward.

Bob Woodward's book, "The War Within: Secret White House History 2006-2008," came out Monday.

The program -- which Woodward compares to the World War II era Manhattan Project that developed the atomic bomb -- must remain secret for now or it would "get people killed," Woodward said Monday on CNN's Larry King Live.

A rather devestating book review from the WSJ

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122091569725212341.html?mod=todays_columnists

Opening with Gen. Casey also says something about Mr. Woodward. There's a case, I suppose, for using the general who opposed the surge to open what is hailed as the definitive account of that surge (not to mention using Robert McNamara, the Defense secretary who helped lose Vietnam to end the book). Surely, however, that would be the same case for wrapping the definitive account of the strategy that brought Robert E. Lee to Appomattox around Gen. McClellan.

Ouch.

the WSJ "review" is a joke - even in the quote you use it's self serving and exploitative - "opening" is not the same as "wrapping...around" - it's a classic "slippery slope" logical fallacy wrapped around an appeal to ridicule.

It's also completely wrong - it characterises Casey's strategy for getting out of Iraq as a "failed strategy" - which is isn't - it was never tried in his time so it can't have failed. And now it is being tried and it is working (apparently).....

As a strategy it also had different aims to the surge - it was designed to get the US out ASAP and give responsibility over to Iraqi institutions.

Just like what is happening now 2 years after he proposed it.....

I don't know anything about the book - but I can tell that the review is absolute garbage!

Umm, you open with a general who had a different strategy than the surge (I grant that his strategy wasn't tried), and you close with McNamara, and that's not wrapping the tale with the opposed and discredited?

btw, the quote is a hit at Woodward and the bent his recent books have taken. Come on, the man has been reduced to reading minds in the last couple.

Dunno - but it's not what the review says either - it doesn't say anything about closing with McNamara - he's just in there as an aside.

And you miss another point of course - the strategy is not discredited it was not tried at the time, and it's now being trumpeted by the administration as a great success!

gunnergoz,

While I know they wouldn't like that (see Sepoy Rebellion as a result of rumor that the paper cartridges they were issued were greased with pig fat), I was thinking of other

methods, some more exotic than others. Offhand, there are psychic (with or without technical enhancement), black occult (with or without tech assist), brain pattern ID and targeting, lethal attacks delivered by computer, to name but four approaches.

What the public perceives as doable and what can be done/has been done/is being done are two entirely different things. Did you know, for example, that remote influence over behavior was demonstrated by the Russians in the 1960s? Did you know that Russian telekineticist Nina Kulagina not only stopped a frog's heart psychically, later restarting it, but demonstrated she could interfere with a human heart in a living person? Also from the 1960s. See Ostrander et al., PSYCHIC DISCOVERIES BEHIND THE IRON CURTAIN. For a formerly classified discussion of the matter, please see Controlled Offensive Behavior-USSR, also Warsaw Pact Paraphysics, available at the Defense Intelligence Agency's FOIA Reading Electronic Reading Room.

http://www.dia.mil/Foia/readingdoc.html

The intention signal prior to an action was first detected and confirmed in the 1970s, I believe, via a SQUID (Superconducting Quantum Interference Device) helmet, and it's long been known that everyone has a unique EM signature. This guy did some of the key work.

http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/senate/inmemoriam/williamrossadey.htm

If it's unique, it's targetable. The word from inside the Intelligence Community circa 1990 was the equipment to collect that signature already fit into a briefcase. For that, see the appendices in Hayakawa's UFOS, THE GRAND DECEPTION, AND THE COMING NEW WORLD ORDER. Hayakawa, a black project researcher, was given two specially declassified appendices by a SEAL source. Written specifically for Intelligence Officers, one discussed the history of U.S. mind control research from the middle of WW II and the other a range of unconstitutional covert operations the "good guys" had become aware of and were trying to stop.

Here are some examples of what Adey's work made possible. (article link)

If you know how, and posses the requisite skill to make them, it's eminently possible to kill people while they're simply online. Here's how. The man writing this had his "bell rung" by such an attack, which was deliberately designed to get his attention, but not kill him. Instead, he barely survived and spent days in bed!

Details are in FER DE LANCE 2 under "CSR." BTW, since this man's been a source of major controversy here before, you might be interested in seeing this, which speaks directly to several of the areas hotly debated. The speaker is an aerospace insider who risked a great deal (could easily be killed; has happened to many) to come forward at the Disclosure Project's National Press Club Briefing, whose webcast was continuously and sophisticatedly jammed. See particularly 5:48 on.

The blueprint to which he refers earlier in the vid is in Cooper's BEHOLD A PALE HORSE.

Aren't you glad you asked?

With the addition of a troop surge. A rather key point I would think.

gunnergoz,

Apropos of the militarization of psi, suggest you watch/read this. Can provide additional references on military use of psi in an entirely different manner, but this speaks directly to psi as a lethal weapon.

Confirming testimony/vid from a man who was in the same program and present for the devastatingly lethal psychic attack described above.

There was also a good segment on the super soldier program in a piece Len Kasten wrote called "The Superhero Factor" in ATLANTIS RISING, #70

Some of the concepts are discussed in this recent mainstream pub. It would appear that the government, having done it itself first, is now worried that Super Soldier may be produced by our enemies.

Here's another one one the topic--only a 3 billion dollar program!

See also this, which is a history of some of this set of activities. Note both the comment regarding the reality of psychotronic attack and the particular abilities Bert (way down near the bottom of the article) has relative to those of the guy in the first link.

Pak_43,

Apologies for mangling your "handle" earlier! Missed the underscore. No, I have not read that book yet, though I have read many others and have had some fairly remarkable experiences of my own. On my list, though. Did you check out the two vids/transcripts I listed in my reply to gunnergoz? Am certain you'll find they make staring at goats seem tame.

John Kettler

Pak_43,

I was trying to show you that what was being played with as pretty much a lab curiosity in the early 1960s was, by the late 1960s, apparently already in use in black project circles for real world military operations, as seen in the two Project Camelot accounts of the shattering battlefield use of a dozen linked child warriors wielding their carefully honed psychic talents to annihilate some 2000 VC and NVA as part of a rescue of trapped Green Berets in Cambodia.

IOW, while we fret about the goat staring, the operational capability in what I suspect are CIA circles has already been invented, tested and used in battle. If you read the transcripts/watch the vids, you'll find obvious parallels between the method of creating the Super Soldiers these two became and the ultra secure info couriers/sex slaves described by

Cathy O'Brien (TRANCE-FORMATION OF AMERICA) and others. The common element? The creation of one or more "alters" (additional personalities) via putting the hapless trainee through such extreme trauma and pain that the only way to survive is to literally split the consciousness to separate from the agony. The alters, you see, are unhindered by the limits learned in a lifetime, being literal blank slates for clever, ruthless programmers to write upon. That is how, for example, one Super Soldier, carefully hypnotically conditioned that he was going to be making a small jump down, was able to jump successfully from 100 feet up a radio tower and not only survive, but registered it as being about 10 feet. That one's in the ATLANTIS RISING article.

It would appear that the lot of an SF writer is becominbg harder and harder by the hour!

Regards,

John Kettler
