Battlefront.com
SlowMotion, So hopefully they'll change the manual if current code works.Or change the code so something that shouldn't be working doesn't work tc237, Almost anyone in the Army can call in arty, the question is if the mission is approved by higher HQ.And don't forget approved of by the FDC One of our testers was an infantry Captain in Afghanistan. He said he could request WP to be used for spotting rounds all the day long, but all he was likely to get was HE. Why? FDC has their own SOPs that can override field requests. WP is reserved for situations where HE is simply too hard to see. Steve
Berlichtingen
JTAC is the Joint Force Environment term and is used by most NATO forces. The Corps retained the term FAC and are the only US forces that use FAC rather than JTAC.
Battlefront.com
Berli, that is true. Just pointing out that in CM:SF we don't have FACs but JTACs since we have Army only. Steve

About the only time we could convince the FDC to give us WP was if we were marking for the FAC team.

ChrisND
Only fired WP a couple of times... once was 120mm round at night on the side of a steep mountain in full view.... that was freakin awesome. On another note, I have noticed from my Aleppo scenario that dismounted JTACs have no comms!
