Paper Tiger
Okay, I am really excited about the new stuff too and I will definitely be giving the Marines a try out. But as I enjoy playing as Red, does anybody have any idea what we're getting with the Syrian Airborne Battalion? I know they're equipped with the BMP-3 but do thay have any special training, weaponry etc?
Webwing
PT, Not sure about the Airborne Battalion but you now have: T-90SA Tank BMP-3 BRDM-2 (AT-5) With the T-90 you can finally face the M1 and have a fair fight. They look quite formidable. -
Paper Tiger
Hey, if the T-90 can give the M1-A2Seps a run for it's money, I'll be coming back to the Blue fold very quickly. I get the feeling nobody knows anything about the Airborne troops and most folks will be more interested in the Marines equipment but I hope the developer's will throw us a bone on this one. I'll try and keep this one alive for a little while until I give up hope.
YankeeDog
Back while CMSF was being developed, forum member Rudel Dietrich did extensive research into Syrian TOEs, and posted it here on the forums. Here's one of the threads into which he posted this info, including some details on Airborne TOE (p.3, about midway down): Syrian TOE thread Cheers, YD
Sequoia
Yeah I've been wondering what happened to Rudel. He was able to procure inside info like no one else could. Hope his superiors didn’t crack down on him. Or maybe Lone Syrian put a contract out on him.
RommL
I am anxious to see this marine unit. especially at the level of equipment and well heard objects of decoration. (if there are some)
Battlefront.com
Rudel is doing just fine. Big job change for him, that's all. Steve
