Tread Head
maybe this is a dumb question....oh-well once you split a squad how do you put back together? can you add other units to it or piece together a unit from other small units? Just wondering Thx
Sergeant Saunders
Just move the A & B parts of the squad close together, within 2-5 meters, they should recombine automatically. Sorry no, only the same squad parts can be combined.
Silvio Manuel
I might be wrong, but I think that the split squads won't rejoin if: 1) they are on "HIDE" 2) they are too close to each other 3) they are both in the same foxhole Not sure, can anyone verify? tabpub
I have just done 2 of those three. Squads were split during setup. On first turn, changed mind(no, I am not Blonde)Moved one half to the other and ordered it to hide.Non-moving was already hiding. Movement dot was placed on top of non-mover. At beginning next turn, they were one again and hiding. No foxhole was involved, though. That was the reason they had been split in the first place, to generate extra foxhole for 2nd line of defense in Operation. Damn thing was, it didn't give me any. Guess I lost too much ground in the first battle and didn't have time to dig when we "advanced to the rear"

tabpub
I am the defender. It is operation "Drive to Mortain" 2nd battle. I had foxholes for the first battle, now none. Makes my AT assets feel naked, with just bocage to hide behind.
Wreck
tacpub: in operations you get foxholes in the setup and morning turns. Other daytime turns, no foxholes.
SGTHenry
It was a good question. I remember the only dumb question was a question not asked. Good replies about the slitting and rejoining of infantry units. Thanks guys.

Can anyone verify this?
