Tanks a Lot
Does anybody know if bunkers/pillboxes were white-washed during winter? It makes sense, but I don't know if this was common practice.
Subvet
WOW! Awesome job! I can't wait to get these!
Dogtoes
I WILL get these bunkers when they're released but I do have one question: What's with the metal grille/screen thing on the concrete bunker? Going through my reference material, I cannot seem to find this. Cheers, -Chris
mchlstrt
Keeps Grenades out, I believe. (screen @ Firing Slit, that is.) Strt [ October 01, 2002, 10:51 AM: Message edited by: mchlstrt ]

MikeT
Tanks A lot, it is very safe to assume that in winter time the bunkers/pillboxes were either whitewashed and/or had snow accumulation on them. You might even seen them with ice sickles on the tops, could look very cool. They could even have vertical black stripes to break up the outline so that the bunker isn't simply a white block against the background. Oh, the screen is obviously a ventilator grill. Apache
They all look pretty darn good to me. One for the DL list. Forgive this but I know zilch about modding but I presume the texture chosen has to be applied to the whole of the structure? If not, how would the snow one look if it was a bit more blotchy? I'm not really sure if that's what it should look like.

Michael Emrys
I was having the same thought. My first reaction was that the whitewash looked a little too carefully applied. Still looks great though, and I appreciate your work, TAL. Michael
