It's at least better than my desktop  .

Even your desktop will run the game - but bigger scenarios tend to take some time to compute the action.

Thanks to both of you for your replies.I'll go ahead and purchase the game.Thing is, I don't usually play games on my PC and I only use my notepad for Word and Office.

However,I read quite a lot of history and try to specialise on WW2 and the Ostfront, that's why I thought I'd give this strategy game a go.

Anyway thanks for your help and advice. smile.gif

No,I've not bothered with the Demo.If I get a game (very rare) I'll get into it no matter how bad it is.Once I've spent my money I try to get my money's worth.Sounds silly but...

Anyway, thanks to both of you,for replying to my post.

I'm really glad that there's an active forum for it and once I get the game (and get to grips with it) I'll post back and let you know how I'm getting on.

The point of the demo is to let you see if you like the game before you spend your money. ;)

OK, do the demo thingmie, but all that will do is whet your appetite for the whole banana.

My rig is pretty much the same as your desk top model (read: fookin' ancient smile.gif ) and CMBB runs marginal to OK, but enough for me to enjoy it. CMBO runs perfectly well, even the largest battles, but CMBB is usable for tiny/small/medium sized battles only.

Of course, it is making me seriously consider getting a new desk top...

"But, honey... everything will run so much more smooooothly!" smile.gif

Give the AI a bonus and a map with decent cover and he will play much better on the offense.

Once again, thanks for all the advice.

I was going to get the game from Amazon.com.However I went out for lunch (today) and I saw that they had a sale on at the Manchester branch of 'GAME' so I went in and bought CMBB for £4.98p.What a bargain!

Anyway,I shall read the instructions when I get home and I'm going to see if I can get it to run on my desktop PC,if I can't I'll just use my notepad. smile.gif
