hoolaman
Hello. I just bought CMBB for cheap and want to have a hitout against my brother. I am looking for a scenario for us to play TCP/IP double-blind that could be completed in a couple of hours. Not too concerned other than that but it must be nice and quick and not too big. Thanks in advance!
junk2drive
Byte Battles See the thread in Scenarios forum, I wish it was Der Kessel Edit: I can't find the Byte Battles. Boots and Tracks has a section for TCP/IP [ June 13, 2006, 05:53 AM: Message edited by: junk2drive ]

Other Means
This will take longer than a couple of hours but it's well worth it; Ghost Column at Rzhavets My favourite CMBB battle.
hoolaman
Thanks for the replies, I'd forgotten about the byte battler site. Other Means, started playing that scenario solo, looks good. Any others? Maybe just a tiny bit bigger than the byte battles.
Andreas
Quite a few of the battles on I wish it was Der Kessel (link in my sig) are slightly above BB size, but still small. All the best Andreas
DerBlitzer
If you're both fairly new to the game, you'll probably want something small and manageable, especially since you're playing it TCP. I'd recommend three scenarios included with the game: A Warm Place to Sleep (25 turns, Tiny) [in snow] Gefechtsaufklaerung (15 turns, Small) [good intro to game] Totenkopf (20 turns, Small) [more experienced player should play the Russians]

As it's at night you get most of the joy trying to guess what your opponent's doing. Seriously: don't waste it on the AI.
Kingfish
The ROW III scenarios were generally around 1500 pts / 30 turns. All were playtested 36 times, with an average balance rating of around 45/55. ROW III Battle Pack
Holien
ROW III scenarios a players guide. Based upon what you have said you want I would go for the Beast or the River Bridgehead both will take you for a grand roller coaster of a ride IMO. The Beast by Harv A terrific game and pretty well balanced. I had a blast playing this one, hard fought and very good. Christmas Battle by JWXSpoon Less said about this the better. But others really enjoyed it. Hosszupalyi by Kingfish This is a good solid design and fun. King of Debrecen by WWB Ok but not inspiring. Mind you I have been spoiled by other designs. Rearguard Action by Rune This is a tough nut and while I enjoyed the challenge it gave others lots of problems. Koltov Corridor by Kinch This proved my undoing, a good design and worth a bash. The Petroskov River Bridgehead by Kingfish This is an excellent game and highly recommended. Innovative design and really tests both players. I was pulling my hair out with this one.
