Gyrene
I'm wondering why the M16 is not on CMBO, the four .50's on the Maxson mount would be an excellent addition to any US side. I'd get a grin seeing the "Meat Chopper" go to work supporting assaulting squads.
Mattias
Your not the first to ask Gy.. The short answer is that BTS didn't have time to put it in before CM was released. M.
Guest Germanboy
BTS ran out of time. There is an official statement, and many discussions relating to this topic, and it brings forth a lot of passion amongst people. ------------------ Andreas Der Kessel Home of „Die Sturmgruppe“; Scenario Design Group for Combat Mission. Spook
As a follow-on note, BTS did state publicly on this forum that the M16 will be included in the "CM II engine" (NOT the CM2 game for the East Front) that will release in some future date after CM2. Presumably this CM II game engine can be combined with CM1 (or may be as a standalone) so to allow CM's future evolution to backdate to the 1944-45 West Front theater. So, in some day of the future, the M16 is planned for inclusion. When this day comes remains speculative.

Guest Mikey D
And the quad .50 (2 mg on either side of the mini-turret) would probably have been a considerably greater headache to model than the usual gun-barrel-out-the-middle-of-the-turret design. X-00
The irony here is that the United States produced twice as many AA halftracks then Germany. And this caculation doesn't include the common M13/14 dual 50 variant.
