I could now start one or two new PBEM games and I thought that I might find some approximately same-calibere PBEM opponents from this thread.

I'd like to try few relatively small scale (800-1000) point probes with a medium map. I usually have time for one or two turns a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

I don't have any particular side or attack/defend preferences.

My email address is in my user profile.

tss did you find the game you were looking for? If not send me a set-up for whatever you want to play.

PS. When we get to the final round I want to post the AAR to CMHQ. It should prove to be fun and give the finalist the prestige they deserve. Players will keep track of their Movie turns to compile an AAR that will glorify their accomplishments. They will have ascended.

Just when you thought the corpse was ready for proper burial it comes 'a scratchin back to haunt you.

Looks as Stuka has dusted off his Oxfords and is clumsily administering the 'Happy Dance' to any who would look.

Here are the scores that were reported to me for rnd. 2 so far.

B2 Crossbar(20)vs.**Stuka**(80)

A1 Peter vs. Ted Ted is winner (score withheld)

Just think, the 2001-2002 season will start before this tourney gets done and Stuka's clothes might be back in style.

BTW..........GO RAMS........

The Second round has come to an end with Stuka and Ted advancing to the finals. I would like to take the time to congratulate you two for a job well done and to tip my hat to the other players of round 2. You all have made it further than most of the players and deserve to be recognized. I have, as Stuka so kindly pointed out in another Beautiful thread, quit being a lazy f*** and got the next one going.

But first here are the scores from round 2;

Group A

****Ted 62.5 ******

Peter 50.5

Pvt. Pike 35.5

A1. Peter 26 vs ** Ted 74 **

A2. ** Peter 75 ** vs Pvt.Pike 25

A3. Pvt. Pike 46 vs ** Ted 51 **

=============================================

Group B

Crossbar 52

Gaffertape 35

****Stuka 63 ****

B1.** Crossbar 84 ** vs Gaffertape 16

B2. Crossbar 20 vs ** Stuka 80 **

B3.** Gaffertape 54 ** vs Stuka 46

=============================================

---------------------------------------------

Here are the Final round Parameters. If you remember from the rules 2 games will be played and the scores averaged out to determine the overall winner of the Not-So-Superbowl.

Players will play 1 game as allies and 1 Axis

Meeting Eng.

3,000 pts.

Quality: High

Purchase: Player

Map Size: Medium

Date: April '45

Time: Random

Weather: Random

35 Turns

Map Type: Village

Tree Coverage: Moderate

Hilliness: Modest Hills

Each player will set up 1 battle choosing the allies and following the parameters above.

F1. * Stuka (al) vs Ted (ax)

F2. * Ted (al) vs Stuka (ax)

Good Luck and keep me posted on what is going on in your battles and send me a mov. file from time to time so I can check out the progress.

Also there have been several people who have suggested doing another NSSB and I agree. When these battles are winding down I will be taking names for the next installment of the Battle of Losers .

Or fifty minefields and a hundred sharpshooters.

I see we sure know how to pick 'em.

No wonder the other Not-So's didn't stand a chance wink.gif

Stuka, I'll start my setup tonight and should get it to you by tommorrow night.

Ted

Say, Von Shrad, I think there may be an error in your calculations - not that it'll change the fact that I lost round two... I just lost it worse.

If I'm reading it right, you have this:

B1. Crossbar 16 vs ** Gaffertape 84 **

B3. Gaffertape 46 vs ** Stuka 54 **

However, these scores are reversed, sir. CROSSBAR smoked me and I barely squeaked by STUKA.

It should be:

CROSSBAR 84 vs Gaffertape 16

GAFFERTAPE 54 vs Stuka 46
