Did my mandatory service in Finnish armed forces in 1995, was a coastal artillery weatherman for 285 days.

Except that all my infantry friends claim that I wasn't really in the army at all...

285 days on a small island, watching if it rains or not.

The year was ninety-something..

Three years active US Army('91-'94) at Ft. Bliss, Texas. I was a HAWK missile mechanic (hence the nickname), CO's driver, and unit armorer.

After that, six years in the Texas National Guard (No-Gos) as an Intelligence Analyst. Just got out in October and my beard and hair are really growing now.
