John Kettler
Ike's address to the people of Western Europe. Here's a great slice of history I found to commemorate D-Day. It consists of the radio broadcasts from three different networks. http://www.wwiifoundation.org/students/real-time-radio-broadcasts-from-d-day-june-6-1944/ Regards, John Kettler
John Kettler
It occurs to me that some of the sound Mod types might find it worthwhile to put, say, Ike's D-Day broadcast in the front end of CMBN audio. How cool would that be? Regards, John Kettler
Sublime
about cool enough thatd itd become really irritating if you couldnt turn it off after around the 2nd time you heard it
Warts 'n' all
There is a News and Music mod for CMBN. It's the only music mod that I haven't created for myself that I use.
JM Stuff
This is the clip sound that I use in the generic for CMBN added with some french key codes like the most important..."les sanglots long des violons de l'automne blesse mon coeur dune langueur monotone"...
Erwin
There are many existing mods that use historical "news broadcast". As someone said they get boring after a few times and music is preferable. Edited June 8, 2018 by Erwin
John Kettler
Sublime, It would be cool if BFC gave us some sort of a rotator which would pick from a number of sound clips. Ad rotators are well established, so I see no reason something similar couldn't be done with sound clips. 3j2m7, You refer to the code Paul Verlaine passage to call the Resistance into action just before D-Day. "The long sobs of the violins of autumn wound my heart with monotonous languor." Hadn't thought about that passage in ages. Good Idea but also to pick up a full folder with the mod that you would like see in your game for the time. Like a link, this will avoid to load mods that you don't need for the time, but you don't want to delete them completely ...
