Saferight
Here is the first of my Force Specific Background (the scenario load screens) for CMBS. This is the first half for the Blue Forces its just pictures of UA forces from the takeover of the Crimea up to the current ATO. https://www.dropbox.com/s/tct62ecsdi13aoj/Blue%20Force%20Specific%20Backgrounds%20%28UA%29.zip?dl=0 No pictures during the winter months just spring, summer and a few in the fall to try an keep inline with the time frame in CMBS. I tried to stay away from images of the more controversial territorial defense battalions but a few might be in there. They are all also cropped and resized from high pixel images. US Army photos are coming up to complete the Blue forces but first of several batches for RU (redfor) is next. let me know if anyone has problems with download. thanks EDIT: here is the 1st for Redfor. Mostly pics of the green men in Crimea along with photos from parades and testing grounds. All from HD like the UA photos. https://www.dropbox.com/s/meigcpjlo603kal/Red%20Force%20Specific%20Backgrounds.zip?dl=0 Edited February 8, 2015 by Saferight

rocketman
One of the best parts of when a new game is released is the flood of great mods - it's like X-mas every day! Thanks for spoiling the rest of us.
Saferight
Glad you enjoy guys!!! here are the 2nd part of load screens for the "Blue force" US/UA for CMBS. Just combine with the earlier stuff. https://www.dropbox.com/s/24qz71dm9d1uj65/Blue%20Force%20Specific%20Backgrounds%20%232.7z?dl=0 This batch contains mostly photos of US Army from very recent back to a few years ago in combat zones and training exercises in many places. Some photos of the in game CAS/UAV assets included as well (i will be adding the Russian and Ukrainian counterparts). Up next will be the final half of RU forces and maybe one more US/UA. I think that will be enough till the first module comes out.

rocketman
Do you need to name the folder for Red force something special for it to load? I got Blue force to load both as loading screen and briefing background. But for Red I get the pics the game shipped with.
Saferight
There shouldn't be any issue they are all BMP files and numbered correctly, and the folder name has no effect. Sounds like you may have a conflicting mod? Check your mod folder again.
rocketman
I think I accidently downloaded set #2 first, with numbers starting at 100. Guess a mod needs to start at "1" to work.
Saferight
Ya just combine the different parts into one folder. I split them up cause they are still a pretty hefty size (at least to me).
IanL
I have used this problem to rename mods after deleting or adding variations. http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Main_Intro.php
Zveroboy1
Great mod but I got a quick question. I also deleted some backgrounds I didn't like and added a bunch. But I didn't replace the ones I deleted on a number by numer basis, I just added them at the end. Now I am only getting red backgrounds even though I have blues starting at 1. Does it matter if there are missing numbers in the list of bmps? Also how are the backgrounds that are displayed selected? Is it just random or does it cycle through them? Peter Panzer
Saferight: Nice collection - thank you very much for sharing as I pulled out several of your images to fold into my own little portfolio. US images that fit the setting of Black Sea seem particularly challenging to find seeing as most in circulation, understandably, are from desert or high mountain environments. Some clever cropping/rescaling of pictures from Hohenfels can work in a pinch, but I think you already know that. Do you think you might select a few to craft into alternatives for the main splash screen?

Do you think you might select a few to craft into alternatives for the main splash screen? i did but i'm really just fine with the vanilla. sure someone else will make some.

Saferight
Which is where that rename utility I mentioned in post #12 comes in handy... ya thanks for that it looked really not user friendly at first but i tried the tutorial and now it saves ALOT of time.
IanL
Yeah I agree the UI leaves a lot to be desired but one you figure out a few common tasks it is very useful. Actually every time I fire it up I sigh quietly because that UI is so bad - and intimidating.
Saferight
Both parts of the mod are now condensed into one folder along with more pics and a few fixes. Just delete the previously released stuff, download then unzip the new, and then throw in your mod folder. Here is the new links Blufor https://www.dropbox.com/s/nvcs21qum84tpbd/Blue%20Force%20Specific%20Backgrounds.zip?dl=0 Redfor https://www.dropbox.com/s/meigcpjlo603kal/Red%20Force%20Specific%20Backgrounds.zip?dl=0
Boche
Great mate! Just a question did you have to go through each file independently and rename all of them?
