Having finished the OOBs from the Panzer Campaigns series Im now moving on the look at the remaining formations, and there sure are a lot that saw action in 44-45 on the eastern front.

A few percent on something this large is a lot of time. The labor part goes much more smoothly when you don't have to stop constantly to find things. So, your foot work was and is highly appreciated..

Thanks. Fizou's legwork helped a lot. Sometimes the researching is the worst part. Best thing is you only have to research once, after that you can just add extra stuff as you update.

I was happy to help, but Im sure it was no more that a few percent of the total time spent. Big thanks to Mord to even consider such a huge mod!

Thanks, brother. We've both come a long way since that CMBO marsh mod, huh? That was like 14 years ago! Well, I hope everybody likes it when I am done. Replace "brave" with "mental" and talented with "passable" and you hit the nail on the head. Though I will say that I think this one will be my best portrait mod ever. I am really happy with the look so far.

 

 

I do want to make sure everyone realizes that this will be a mod for the base game only. Bad news is I won't be releasing anything outside of the June to August time frame. Which means right now only Heer portraits and the Russians. That being said, the GREAT news is, barring any brand new portrait types that BFC adds (such as Gebirs), as soon as the next module comes out I'll be able to release the update in a teenie-tiny fraction of the time. Like within a few days.

It's been a ton of work. I discovered that I hadn't prepped all my infantry divisions and when I thought I was just about done I get the nice surprise that I missed about thirty. I just now finished those shields. Gotta do the extra portraits now. God, I can't wait until I can put these infantry guys to rest. I am so sick of them!

I didn't get to the Stug brigades like I wanted either but I will. I had family visit for a week and a bit of burn out slowed the production right down. Normally I wouldn't release this just yet but I am heading out to Colorado for about a month so I figured you guys waited long enough and would be happy to use what is made.

 

I am only gonna post these on Gaj's for now, so that when I get back and finish them I don't have to update two different sites. Maybe the Repos will be redone by then.

 

Note: The Russians are REALLY anemic compared to the Germans but there isn't anything I can do about it unless some of you guys know of a site (maybe on the Russian internet) that has a good deal of identifiers I could use. Apparently they don't have division patches/symbols but maybe there are larger formation symbols out there?

 

Anyway enjoy, hope you guys like them. I'll be headed out tomorrow morning, and may be able to post while I am gone—not sure if I will have access to the internet while I am there. Hopefully when I return the Bulge will be out!
