ridethe415
Where and when was this picture taken and which unit is it? This is during the '36 Olympics. The Wehrmacht's Synchronized Shooting team. They won bronze.

Michael Emrys
Those horses would have to be very well trained not to shy when the rifles are fired. Michael
agusto
What about this one for the Eastern Front game?
JonS
Those horses would have to be very well trained not to shy when the rifles are fired. AIUI, that's actually ... sort of easy. Artillery horses were de-sensitised to artillery fire by keeping them around the guns firing during training at every opportunity, and I assume that cavalry horses were de-sensitised in a similar way.
Waffen_PL
Maybe one of these for east front:

c3k
As long as the horses don't move until AFTER the rifle is fired, then the first ritter (?) to shoot should be accurate. Should we model a ritter who's also a sitter, or just if they're afraid the horse may jitter? Standing athwart saddle and stirrup, make sure no one says "giddup". Michael Emrys
Getting one of those to pivot must have been a real bitch. Michael
db_zero
Getting one of those to pivot must have been a real bitch. Michael I would have loved to see that try to cross a bridge. That's the sort of contraction you would expect to see on rails not tracks.
womble
I would have loved to see that try to cross a bridge. That's the sort of contraction you would expect to see on rails not tracks. What would it need a bridge for, most of the time? Its trench crossing capacity is unrivalled.
