Quick Battle question

Recommended Posts

OK so I noticed in CM Normandy you were limited in picking units for a quick battle, for instance, you have to pick prepackaged hordes of infantry with like a mortar and a tank, much different from the past CM's where the player could more customize his army for QB's.

My question is for Fortress Italia is the player customization back or do players have to choose form like one of four pre-configured boring armies of all infantry or like a platoon of tanks?

Also Grogtard Dorosh modeled in this title?

You can't create new command structures, but otherwise you can fully customize your forces in CMBN and CMFI QBs. You can delete anything you don't want and add vehicles and specialist teams wherever you like in a formation.

Having been playing a few QB's lately I am really starting to like the intuitiveness of the CMX2 system. I like the way you can attach units to not only an edited battalion but the branched structure within...edit out what you don't want and then add an mg to first platoon first squad or a mortar to second platoon along with a tank or armored car etc. A command structure is all set up and you know who is subordinate to who. I think it's cool.

Mord.

This is a gross misconception.

It's true that you have to start from larger formations, but you can, if you want, whittle those formations down to single platoons (of infantry) or vehicles (for mechanised formations. Or you can start with a larger formation, delete everything except one HQ and add specialist teams and single units back in to get pretty much the exact force composition you desire. Better make sure the synergy you generate in selection outweighs the premium you pay for specialist teams.

It's Gaylord Fokker.

Don't feed the troll, ta ta.

:)

EDIT: Haha, it was just a hunch based on his name and trolling method but I was correct! Check out his posts, only 12 of them yet many in the Peng thread. One post mentions the Focker and another mentions Gaylords. Nevermind the obsession with Dorosh, whom as far as I know was booted from this forum many moons ago.

What a blast from the past!

Yeah, funny that. Unfortunately nobody mentioned this to me the last time he showed up, and it was suspected from the start. OK, yet another account of his banned.

Since this was a troll thread to begin with, and people have already corrected the disinformation in it, best to just close this one up.

Steve
