LongLeftFlank
Just noticed in a screenie from NormalDude's AAR that there appear to be stationary (non-moving) infantry who are NOT facing up a hill and yet are standing, instead of lying prone / taking a knee. That seems like a behaviour change for infantry. Or is it just something that occurs only during setup phase and I never noticed it before? (I didn't repost the shot itself, since I don't want to create an accidental spoiler for Bil.) In this vein, I am curious whether there are any other tweaks (e.g. not shooting MGs from the shoulder so much, "hit the dirt!" reflex, etc.) to default infantry behaviour for the v2? I don't see them called out in the features list.
ZPB II
I don't know if it's placebo or what, but generally I'm very happy with how my dudes perform. I also think the animations have been tweaked a bit, not sure. I haven't been able to go back to 1.0 to verify my instinct, Sicily took me by surprise! I did some storming with assault engineers and the whole close-range-firefight-blowing-stuff-up-with-satchels thing seemed to flow better. I feel that I'm seeing less casualties from artillery or direct fire due to pixeldudes taking cover at more appropriate moments in time. No hard data, just how I feel about 2.0.
LongLeftFlank
That is terrific news... it always seemed to me that the cover seeking default behaviours just needed a touch more tweaking. It's very hard to hit a "perfect balance" though (i.e. one that works for all situations), since the more the pixeltruppen keep their heads down, the less spotting and shooting they can do!
Frankster65
I've definately noticed that the "assault command" seems to work much more realitistic and flows better, especially when you use the "target briefly" command in conjunction with it. They seem to assault with better team work IMHO.
jakla1027
ok Im going to ask in this thread, hope it fits in here, So i noticed something new in the UI (i think thats part of it) where it lists all the troops in your squad in the bottom left of the screen. The part that defines what each soldier is doing/thier behaviour...aiming,reloading,cowering, ect.... Well i never seen this before in CMBN but i have seen a flash of what i think is a new behaviour. Ive seen the commanders & squad leaders with "planning" as thier task at hand. It only flashes through for a sec then goes back to aiming, cowering, or ect... So is the "planning" task/behaviour new to CMFI? Thanks

Planning on looking around so that maybe he'll actually see that tank 20 feet away? Whatever it is he never seems to quite finish it.
Paper Tiger
So is the "planning" task/behaviour new to CMFI? Nope. It was also in CMSF.
