ZPB II
I have encountered some rather irritating behaviour from the loaders of these aforementioned vehicles. Even when the AFV is explicitly told to button up, the loaders routinely pop out of the hatch to shoot the MG and end up dead. Could this be fixed in the patch?
JyriErik
Not sure if it's a bug or a problem with the system since in order to shoot the machingun the loader HAS to open the hatch to shoot it, so if you want to stop that from happening you need to give a very short fire arc, but that will keep the main gun from firing also. Hard to stop that from happening without a "don't fire machinegun" command... Jyri
MikeyD
That's something of a 2-edged sword. If infantry are close enough to tag the loader from around the gunshield they're probably close enought to put a zook round up your tailpipe too. A buttoned Stug - expecially the earlier models with no coax - is pretty vulnerable to infantry attack. So your gunner either mans the mg and dies one way or stays buttoned up and dies another. Not too many Normandy maps where your StuG can stand-off a thousand meters and fire away with impunity.
ZPB II
I had a zug of Stugs on a nice hill overlooking a little village with lots of crunchy targets just waiting for some high explosive fun. Not the best kind of situation to mess around with the roof mounted MG when you should be loading those shells.
womble
Some models of StuG had an internally operated roof MG. Perhaps the game is modelling the shooting behaviour of those types even for StuGs that don't have the relevant gear?
Sergei
I'm experiencing another bug where the StuG's texture becomes a garbled mess of brown, green and light grey. How do you fix this?
John Kettler
Sergei, The only known cure is to sit in a very hot, stifling room with astronomic humidity while flogging yourself with birch branches. After that, you race outside and roll in the snow. Regards, John Kettler
