Not necessarily, we will see if Rosetta 2 can run CM without issues. (its an included emulation software to run x86 applications).

Black Sea is probably the best for the conventional modern battlefield.
Would that be true?
Yes.

All of them uses the same engine with the exception of the afghan one, so publish date doesn't matter.
In other words think of all the current CM games as one game having different modules / DLCs for different eras and areas.

who would load a battle up to cease fire immediately afterwards rather than playing it out?
I start the battle then I take too much casualties early on so I made a cease fire, its not an otherworldly scenario.
You don't have to do it immediately, you can do it also 10-20 mins later. When I did after that I realized you can do it immediately.
We could talk about the whys and who woulds but the fact that you can instantly win by doing nothing is a design that needs to be corrected in my opinion.
I checked and yes it looks like they are exiting the map.

You get the victory points for destroying the enemy (obviously that did not happen and this is why I made this post):
(few posts before you can see one of the objectives was to destroy the enemy)

If the scenario is a defensive scenario then you would naturally start on the objectives and get points for them while the AI attacker would have to try and take the objectives. That's going to happen if you immediately ceasefire with any scenario that you are defending in. I'm assuming that you are the defender in that scenario, although I'm not familiar with that battle in specific. If you are attacking and you get a major victory when you ceasefire immediately then yeah, something is wrong. Not so much if you are the defender though since, by selecting ceasefire you never give the AI an opportunity to capture the objectives.
On a side note, I just loaded up a scenario from the Troina campaign where the player has to defend. If I make a case fire as the US defender immediately, I get a defeat and not a victory.

I just downloaded the Windows patch without a problem. Try using a different browser and/or disabling your anti-virus software and fire wall during the download.
I confirm, I could also download the file.

There are some hotkeys which you can look up in game and also in the manual, some of them:
Alt-Z .............................................. Toggle Command Links
Alt-M ............................................. Toggle War Movie Mode
Alt-L .............................................. Toggle Show Landmarks
Alt-J .............................................. Toggle Show Objectives
Alt-I .............................................. Toggle Floating Icons
There is no built in screenshot utility, and you cannot hide the game controls at the bottom, but you can cut it from the picture later with your favorite editor.

I am playing the italian campaign right now, and the second scenario definitely (called dawn) has a design error calculating the victory points.
Just start the battle and do absolutely nothing and make a case fire. The result? You get a major victory. It is a nice way to keep all my ammo and forces

Just noticed during tutorial that I had a unit I slow moved for a while, who then stayed exhausted for the rest of the fight. Is this normal?
It is the most demanding type of movement.

I looked at the video. Seems like some more investigation is needed. Do you have a game save that can be looked at?
Yes here is the savefile: https://www.dropbox.com/s/75dvbvqst1ugr71/Quick Battle 001.bts

Notice how all teams in your example have an infantry contact marker in the distance. That's probably the same unit that the HQ unit is now actively spotting in a different location.
No actually that is a different unit. Sharing works for all the other units including that in the back of the map, except this one. I think this one was behind an SPG, and he abandoned that, but it was very close to its current location.

So how do I report this as a bug? Can we even do that? (report bugs)

First question is why no sale on Memorial Day at least for existing customers?
Why should be a sale on a day that is a holiday in only one country?

I don't see why a cold war era game should limit itself to one small area. Its like saying Combat Mission Kursk instead of CM Red Thunder.

My guess is that you are playing on Iron and it's too dark for the rest of the platoon to see the SL, and just a bit too far away to hear him.
They have radios anyway, and beside that a few of them have voice contact as well (they are close enough).

I am running a quick battle in CMBS during the night with a recce unit. As you can see on the picture, one enemy infantry is sighted. It is actually seen by the platoon HQ. He spotted it 3 minutes ago, and yet none of the other members of the platoon has an idea about them (so not even the cloudy symbol with the question mark). Any idea why the info sharing is not working?

Not long, I suspect. But I was thinking more in terms of ease of management of versions, patching and map reusability.
Yes, there is also that for sure, would be much more better but thats obvious.

One engine.
Yeah also one engine would be nice. I wonder how a WW2 battalion would hold up against a more modern company

Did you find any solution for this?

A 152mm grenade on a steel surface? What do you think they heard inside that StuG? Must have been quite a noise.

I don't think so, I have the latest and CM runs.
The issue is something else.
