What is the normal way of reporting bugs here? I cannot find a subforum for that and I fear there is no way to submit a bug report.
If you could enlighten me please.

Well you see those two comrades were drunk as all get out. As that team approached they could see they were passed out and so they let them be. After getting a few meters past the two comrades one of the drunks broke wind with such a rumble. Startled the team leader turned around and with his Thermal Night Vision spotted a large heat signature low to to the ground! Thinking he passed a dug in armored vehicle in the darkness, that had now pulled its camouflage and was trying to starting up, he fired the AT4 in the general direction of the sound contact. But alas, closer examination of the heat signature turned out to be a rapidly dissipating gaseous cloud on top of a rather large puddle of liquid where the livestock had relieved themselves earlier.
LoL man, you nailed it.

Just to share what I consider the epitome of this game, a typical wtf moment
So I have a scout section moving up along the road. They almost kill a small enemy infantry unit other than two guys which are cowering on the ground. My first man just walks past beside them.
And then the other guys walk past those two enemy infantry guys. Nobody takes a shot. Then they stop and on of my guys fires two! AT4 rounds into them, from a distance like 8 meters or so.

Georgia and Ukraine should have been wake up calls. It's not 1992 anymore.
IMHO What happened in Georgia and Ukraine has nothing to do with how modern the russian army is.

Hey guys
Would be anybody interested in a Blue nation vs Blue nation match in CMSF2? I think the chances would be more equal than a game in CMBS as Russia vs USA or Ukraine vs Russia.
Currently I don't own this game, but I would consider buying it if there was an interest in this.
I can see that most people play Syria vs Syria, but I am not doing same nation vs same nation or asymmetric battle.

Will the patch break an ongoing pbem game?

The OIP was apparently an earlier generation Russian MRE. This is the latest. By latest, I mean 2017! Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I found the OP far more interesting.

Packaging is nicer but the content seems to be more or less the same.

It would be good to see it in CM:SF II and that's a fact.
Please, CM:SF has its own topic. I know you want the second to happen, but this topic is about Black See.

In CMSF II you'll be able to do MOUT vs Uncons, or armored battles with decent equipment on both sides. You might be pleasantly surprised.
I think you don't believe this yourself.
Syrian army is even more poorly equipped and trained than the Ukranian. T-90s? Maybe a few. According to wikipedia around 40. And thousands of T-54, T-55, T-72s.
Even if they have T-90, the rep cost would be crazy high because it is extremely rarely found on the battlefields. Didn't see no BMP-3, just 1s and 2s (which are not M).
I don't understand what is a problem with a conflict of US vs USSR.

I'd like it more if you swapped all the Russians & Ukrainians for Head-Choppers, set it in the desert and called it CM:SF II.
For me, having battles with a super advanced entity against a poorly equipped enemy is not interesting at all.
I hate doing patrols against head choppers. I want battles with advanced equipment on both sides.

I think it would be a good idea.

I think th early to mid 2020s are as far as any CM game can go at the moment. I would certainly purchase both a mid 1980s and a 21st Century game subject of course to the technical specs of the game :-) On the 21st Century side of hings what interests me is how new weapons might cause future warfare to evolve in the next decade.
I never liked future warfare since you don't even know the data of current weapons. In an arcade strategy is ok, but c'mon, this is supposed to be a "simulator". We might as well have walking transformer robots and see how they might shape the battlefield.

What would be nice is a CM game in cold war settings. No Javelins, airburst munitions, thermal imaging and UAVs

Not talking about scripted scenarios (just looking at quick battle against AI) and also not about the TacAI, just the AI that is giving orders to units (by the opponent AI).
In chess you can set how deep you want the PC to calculate moves. the deeper, the better it gets in playing and also it takes more time to calculate the next move.
In real time mode the AI is lacking time to calculate, but in WeGo mode it has. So is there any difference in this regard (is the AI gets better when playing WeGo)?
-
Is there any difference in the AI (playing against it in single player) depending on the turn system? I am specifically interested in only this one, not on the other differences.

akd,
What a pity I don't read Russian! Or is it really a blessing, since it looks like a glorious time devourer? In any event, simply fabulous material, for which, my thanks!

Google translate.. I read it with that, not perfect but readable.

I'm in central europe, so that makes several turns a day.. difficult (but anyway I have time enough, just in my time)
Don't have a dropbox account (I could always make one if thats necessary), but have gdrive.
Also I read about some helpers, never tried one of those, don't know if that is required to be installed by both sides to take advantage of it? For now I think I am fine without one.

Invitation is extended to CMRT.
For CMBS I bought battle pack 1, so I have version 2.10 now.

Ok, thanks for the info!
Edit: CMRT bought

Hi
I just bought CMBS, and I am also interested in Red Thunder, but the price tag is very hefty. Anybody knows if there are discounts sometimes? Maybe I can expect now, during easter?
Artillery tables
in Combat Mission Black Sea
Posted · Edited by Bufo
typo
So I spent a lot of time to put together an artillery table for Russia and the USA. Currently Ukraine is completely missing. My main motivation was that whenever I was putting together an ORBAT, I had no idea about artillery strike call in times and available ammunition. Now I can check and compare it very easily.
I am sharing it with everybody in case also somebody else finds it useful.
Please note there is a sheet for each nation, and everything was recorded with Elite difficulty settings and Regular experience levels (for both arty and spotters).
