    Quoting myself, oh dear.

Anyway, finally worked out the source of my confusion. From Fortess Italy manual:

Note: firing the mortar from within the halftrack is currently not allowed in CM:FI. You will have to dismount the mortar team before they can fire their mortar.

Oddly I have not yet located a Sdkfz251/2 in the editor or quick battle setup, so can't confirm this.  Anyone know where I can find it?

Anyway, this is unlike in RT and FB where you can fire from onboard.  Not sure if the vehicle is in BN or its add-ons, I haven't found it if it is.

Stuff like this is stupid to me tbh. Why ? The vehicle operated that way..grrr

If you want music that you can make mods from for the game i.e. "music intro", "music splash", " music end of battle" then you are better off without youtube. I just download the stuff that the troops would have been listening to at the time, and convert them to wav files. Obviously, most people stick to "Hollywood" or modern stuff. But I don't see the point of playing an historically accurate game with non-historical music.

I've been playing hearts of iron 4 lately. And some of the music on there is awesome.

I like alot of historical pieces and pieces from documentry series such as ww2 hd in colour

I had to lobby hard to get Valentine into the game. Steve was originally not going to include it. He'd imagined Valentine numbers had petered out due to attrition by the title's timeframe.  But I provided documents with Valentine numbers in specific Russian units in the closing months, plus photo proof of their use in battle. Steve said he was genuinely surprised how many Valentines were still active. One reason why the Russian loved their Valentines was the darned things just didn't break. As reliable as a hammer. It also had a tiny light tank silhouette while mounting a medium tank's cannon. So yeh, its a MikeyD favorite. :P

I appreciate the interesting insight into the inner workings etc. and am thankful for your efforts sir! nicely done...:-)

Jagdtiger was deliberately left off the list.  However, I will add it to the game.  Initially our research found that none were present on the Eastern Front in any combat roll.  Certainly no full units were involved in the fighting.  But new information suggests that maybe one or two POSSIBLY saw some combat directly from the factory as part of an ad hoc formation.  Since we already have such a formation in the game, adding the Jagdtiger is fairly straight forward.  It will also be available as an Individual Vehicle option.

10/10.. thank you, and the team 👍🥇

To put money in the hands of BFC as soon as possible so that they can assess how to pool resources for the next project. CM3?

The next project which has been announced is not CM3. I've never seen them mention CM3 anywhere.

There still working and expanding on their series of games. In fact. Your question is pretty redundant as they keep updating the engine rather than release a new title. So we're on like cm4 .

  6. is this the disappearing, reappearing bug that shows its face when moving toward and away from the vehicle? which includes the schurzen from panzer 4's and stugs, as well as the hedgerow cutters? a mission called operation eisenbahn is one where it happens with the hedgerow cutters..I never thought they addressed the issue, or that they did but it was understood to be left alone as it was to much or something lol....

  7. having issues setting it up so we did a few TCP/IP games instead, via the black sea and shock force 2 demos, experienced some waypoint oddities for the first time, my bradleys went around a field not through it, was odd....

did look at drop box but they changed what they offer and i'm not gona pay some the crazy prices they were showing. still trying to just get some titles recognised via the CMH, was gona try and use it with my google drive if it would work, CMBN is all intergrated with CMH just fine but its the way they change the folders around which is screwing it up, why on earth did they change that? much prefer everything in one folder directory.

Unless - my bold bit above - you use GaJ's CMH (CombatMissionHelper): once set up, which doesn't take long, all of the outward movements to, and inward movements from, dropbox folders are done automatically ... all you have to do is open up the game and play the turns  :)

And, you can open up the (correct) game by just right clicking on the battle name in CMH ...

CMH makes playing PBEM CMH sooooo much easier!

Where does one obtain this combat mission helper?
