Yeah I've never understood by modder can't upload their mods themselves on that site. Seems like a lot of work for one guy.

Not sure if this is what you want?? This mod from CM: Shock Force called Road To Baghdad has Iragi uniform mods. I uploaded the whole mod package that I have on my backup drive. Uniform mod- Iragis.zip. The main mod is named RTB.zip if anyone is interested.
Wow yeah I was just curious if there were Iraqi uniforms for shock force 2. Are these scenarios compatible with the latest game?

One is being released along with a 3rd party. One isn't.
New products released through Steam require different steps than products released only by us. There is a product approval process with Steam. There is planned marketing by the 3rd party that they need to know when work needs to be ready. Cold War had reached a point in it's development where a commitment on a realease date could to be made. For both the Slitherine marketing department and for Steam. Now we have to hit that commitment and still deliver the quality that we strive for with every release.
I hope that explains it and is candid enough.
Gotcha. Thanks for the response Elvis. I think we all just really want to play the new module especially when so many are sitting on their hands with the world being the way it is. Cheers

Hee hee.....unfortunately, that isn't as easy of a question as Gisha's.
I don't get it. CW was announced this year with a release date. This was announced forever ago and nothing? How does that make sense?

I just wish the Soviet squads didn't have all sub machinguns and run out of ammo in five turns.

It's trash bro, throw it out. It's a 46 ton heavy tank that fails to medium tanks, its armor isnt anything special on top of having an over complicated glacias. It carries 28 rounds of low velocity ammunition that depends more on M than V to destroy its targets. The reload time is god awful. I'm really not a fan. The panther is 43 tons, has similar armor arranged in a significantly simpler design... it carries 80 rounds of ammunition fired from a similar performing gun (in regards to penetration capability within 1500m). Panther is way faster in every regard. The IS-2 is just bad. Still gonna play with it though.
Ha. Yes the gun reload is pretty slow. Guess I'm still reeling from my King Tiger platoon getting knocked out by them.

That wasn't even what he was saying. He was off on a tangent. Tanks are not exactly as they are in video games.
Hello?
Anyways I would have easily said the panther tank for #1. That giant aspect ratio high velocity gun. That was the tank to do it.
As for the IS-2... it's trash. Lackluster armor, and as said - a field gun on tracks. What's the point of having a turret? You really think the 122mm is going to penetrate anything that moves? Lmao. There's a reason the soviets threw the 100mm on their mbts.... I can't wait for the SU-100 holy crap. That mofo is gonna punch a hole right through both sides of a panther..
Um... Trash? Really?

We need those loose chinstraps!

Yeah I didn't think were actually made for Shock force 2, but I thought I'd try. Also yeah those Iranian uniforms look really good.

Any uniform mods for the Iraqi Army out there?

Nah. Partisans will be awesome. Not every scenario needs to have a tank.

Ahum...I'm 57, my friend. I may sound wise for my years, but I'm still fit as a chap of 37.
But you're right, it's especially the elder generations that like the Eastern front. Probably has got something to do with Cold War sentiments and the threat of that time. In my youth the mood was very anti-German when it came to WW2, which isn't strange of course. And yet people were much more interested in German military actions and equipment than that of the Allies. But it's the same with the Napoleonic period. Napoleon was after 1815 also seen as a butcher and a criminal and yet everybody is fascinated by that little megalomaniac.
I wasn't around for the Cold War but studying the history of Russia was what made me an Eastern Front fan. Something about two titanic terrible regimes punching each other to death on the steppes.

Although I'm excited for Cold War, Fire and Rubble is what I need. I think it will probably come out this month. Then CW. We're going to be busy.
-
Did the volksturm ever slug it out with partisans in ww2? Maybe in East Prussia perhaps? Also, with the two para-military forces we can now simulate the German Communist revolt of 1918!

It displays as "Huge" 5km x 2km. 2 hours plus variable time.
Wow I'm looking forward to this one

Just tried out the first mission. Super impressive. Only problem my finns keep running out of the trenches to their doom when panicked! I assume this may need the Fire and Rubble patch to work correctly?
-
Any progress?

They said they planned a 2-month turn around after pre-orders were announced. So it should release next month. After locking one of the threads recently Elvis remarked that it was so close to release that a feature thread was practically moot. So soon soon?

With the WW2 titles I can't seem to use indirect fire from my on map Priest's, Hummels and Wespes via a forward observer. Oddly the only self-propelled arty that I can use as its role is the "Grille" in CMBN. What's the point of bringing these? Tanks, tank destroyers and assault guns seem to be far more effective in every way. They aren't particularly well armored, so you can't get them anywhere close enough. Are they more accurate? I suppose just park them on a hill and use direct fire?

I think grenades could be more intuitive. I'd like to see if they could increase the grenade throwing distance a bit. Also, it would be nice if the AI was inclined to throw grenades more or even held a grenade and had it ready anticipating close combat. Secondly a "breach and clear" command for (at least the modern titles) rifle squads who don't have demo charges would be cool. Something that differs from assault by having your soldiers always throw grenades first.
