Everyone, make sure Abu Aurelius survives! Or else....
P.S. Make sure you rob the UAZ's of 7.62x54R. You will need it.

    Hello All!
Hope you're having a great weekend thus far. Today we are adding Al Hamamiyat to the key battles of the Spring/Summer Offensive of 2019 that we've covered thus far. A huge heap of praise goes to Aurelius for helping make this one happen!
    Here's the dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ynsfkys3cvupgfb/Al Hamamiyat.btt?dl=0
The map is 3km x 2km. It is a Blue Attack Scenario that is best played as Blue. There is a simple Blue AI plan for those that wish to create a QB map from it. The scenario has the player taking over command of local SAA forces at close to dusk on July 11, 2019.
Hope everyone's weekend just got a tiny bit sweeter.
    Respectfully,
    LL

And then no doubt tells you to fix the garden/some shelves or anything else to keep you away from fun stuff like drinking beer, playing games, watching sport 😉.

Some images to serve as a preview to Al Hamamiyat scenario.
120 platoon working on HTS positions

T 55 softening prepared positions and supporting an infantry push

Infantry platoon approaching the outskirts of Al Hamamiyat (the assault started just as 82 mm mortars started falling on their assault line, no casualties sustained)

PKM pining down an infiltration attempt

HTS infiltration group was destroyed by combination of PKM fire and 125 mm ОФ shells (note the foreign fighters leading the group) 😄

    Hello All!
Al Hamamiyat is getting close to completion. For those of you who have been keeping up with events, this scene should look familiar.

Much appreciated! Indeed, the elevations are quite a challenge. One thing that helped a bit was lighting. Changing the time of day can dramatically affect what is visible and reveal terrain elements that need attention. In the real mountains, daylight is short, while twilight is long and some places go almost all day without sun.

Pretty amazing map (2 Km x 2.6 Km).
The only thing was was confusing was that your Briefing Tactical map has South at the top rather than North.  Took me a while to orient myself.
(It would help if the convention for all scenarios was to orient tactical maps with N towards the top.)

    Hah!
I typically like to get to the mountains early in the morning just before dawn, so I was taking those screenshots as if I was taking a trip there. Here's one from after breakfast:

Many thanks gentlemen. I really appreciate you guys. Here's a few shots from my current project, Kabani, which is approaching terrain completion. It's a tiny town in the hills on the border of Latakia and Hama provinces. It's 1760 x 1520. It should be ready to test in the coming days.

Before the town of Qasabiyeh could be defended against daesh attack, it had to be liberated from their grasp.
As promised, here's the Blue Attack scenario based on my Qasabiyeh map:

That's very high praise gentlemen. Thank you. I really appreciate the support.
I made another pass at the Tal Malah map that's seemed to improve things a bit:
I added a lot of micro-elevations and raised the hill a bit compared to the surrounding landscape.
I worked on the Red AI plan a bit to have some of the techs hang back and just lob stuff into town like they tend to do.
I swapped out the Specs Ops guys for Republican Guard mech, but I left the T-90 (I think it kinda helps) and changed the deploy zones a little

By far the best single player scenario  (the Qasabiyeh one) that I have played! I usually don't bother with single player scenarios and prefer multiplayer.
I am glad that you took my advice and replaced Special Forces with Republican Guard, makes the logistic side slightly easier (rearming your RPG's and PKM's while repelling a jihadi wave truly is a unique challenge!). So far, the lack of digital fire control system on T 72 AV has not proven to be an issue, most engagement were point blank or artillery like engagement on a point target. This unit composition should be left as is, it presents you with some hard choices.
I think everyone should try this out. To see a jihadi wave developing while technicals armed with ZU-23's and SPG 9's hang back in support, ready to snipe your units on one flank and a mechanized push through your lines on the other, truly is a sight to behold (and try to stop)!

Successful defense of the town Quasabiyah.

Units that distinguished themselves in battle.

    Some images of destruction.

Bonus images of couple of BMP's destroyed by HE-F shells.

Also, the game needs Churches added along with ancient ruins. Syria is a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, multi-religious society that spans eons. When one of the Churches in Aleppo was destroyed by takfiris, it was the Muslims that got together to help rebuild it and protect their Christian brethren.

Update: Based upon great feedback, I swapped out some of the SAA units in the Qasabiyeh scenario. The Special Forces troops and T-90 have been replaced by Republican Guard mech units and T-72AV. Also, the salafists have been beefed up. The download link in the post above is still valid, it now points to the new file.
