Mord, could you please provide the radio chatter sounds without the engine or driving sounds ?
I had the idea to include them into the ambient background sound file and make 2 differend version (US/RU&UKR).

Sorry but why is it tougher all you need to do is to de-select all units and then you also see them all.
And in what way C&C is different ? in the manual it says nothing about it.

Who plays on Iron mode ?
Isn't the only difference from Elite that you have FOW for your own units too ?

10$ is no deal breaker, in the last two days i spend maybe twice as much as the bundle would coast on other leisure time stuff...
Its just that i dont want to support BFC's laziness in updating the installers.

A good point. What weapon systems are you using? I would imagine that wooden rubble would still be pretty good protection from most small arms fire, but would likely not be very effective against a direct tank shell or artillery landing on top of the destroyed structure. Can you elaborate?

Mhh anyway it cant be that complicated to include the v3.0 update in to CMFI and the bundle.
But the good thing is that it saved me some money because othwerwise i would have bought it soon after CMBS...

But ingame there are differend buildings. Iam for example talking about wooden buildings.
Rubble from this kind of structure should give very little cover.

Lets say you could mark areas as target for area fire in the case of suspected or actual enemy (player) presence.

The TacAI is still unable to use some kind of Area target as far as i know.
That would be a really important feature, and it should be possible to script the TacAI in a way so it uses area fire on suspected enemy positions from time to time.
What do you think ?

Not sure if it should, at least not against strafing runs from a Attack helicopter or airburst rounds.

Hi !
After playing some scenarios i have the feeling that Rubble gives more cover then the building itselfe.
I dont have any facts, tests or savegames but i just have the feeling that this is the case.
For example i had russian infantry in rubble getting shot at with HE-I for many turns and two strafing runs from a Attack helicopter, they survived !
What do you think about rubble ?

The point is that the v3.0 Update is included in CMBN standalone and the CMBN bundle but not so with CMFI, thats strange.

@Wiggum15 Well, I will say that I agree with you there. The $75 CMFI + GL bundle should already be 3.0, IMO. Needing to purchase an upgrade immediately after buying a game could be off putting for new customers.
Its already putting me of from buying the CMFI+GL bundle.

You are correct if you talk about CMBN thats already v3.0 if you buy it now but not CMFI this is still v2.0...

Absolutely we should support the paid engine Updates. That is what keeps the older titles on par with the newer ones.
What I would support is lowering the "bundle" prices for new players on the older titles, thus reducing their initial expense for buying a "Family".
I will never begrudge $10 for updating an older title to a newer engine.
As i said i would happily pay for them if you just had to update some kind of CORE version and get the new engine version applied to all your already purchased CMx2 games (excluding SF maybe).

All i try to tell him is this:
If you now buy CMBN and CMFI you pay 55$x2 (games) + 10$x2(v3.0)
Now if the next version of the engine is released maybe with the bulge game you would have "outdated" games as long as don't again pay 10$x2 for the next engine updates.
So then you had spent 150$ on both those games (without addons).
What i try to say is that with the current model it can be expansive to buy older games.
Thats why i would say if you want WW2 wait for the Bulge game or get CMRT.

The important part is that you DONT support the paid engine Updates.
If they want me to pay for them then make a core version (which could also be the demo) and separate the data content from it so people dont have to pay for every game if they want the new engine.
Imagine v4.0 arrives and you have CMRT, CMBN and CMFI...you would have to pay 30$ to update them all...or just spend 10$ for the update of the core version and play CMRT, CMBN and CMFI with engine v4.0.

I would buy CMBS now and wait for the new CM Bulge for the WW2 stuff.
That way you will get the latest version of the engine in modern warfare and WW2.
The older WW2 games are still not discounted and you have to pay for the v3.0 Engine update so you would pay more for the older titles.

How many different ATIOGLXX.DLL did you try ?
Maybe try one from a older driver.

I think you would get stuff through.
I supressed a enemy RPG team with one BMP and all other vehicles (6 or 7) got to the exit location unharmed but 2 got destroyed in the last turn (while they stood around at the EXIT location) before they could exit.
Im sure they would have been able to rush through using the FAST command or a EVADE order.
I really think its not good to have the exit point and the end of the map right next to a enemy platoon in ambush position. This way the player has very little room for maneuver at this critical spot.
In another scenario (Airman Down) i had a HUMVEE drive behind enemy positions and back using the FAST command and he survived.

Ok, i have one complaint with this map/scenario:
The russian forces placed to the right side just next to the EXIT objective are far to close to the end of the map !
Either remove them or make the map another 500m bigger so you can actually use the FAST command to get the hell out of this last ambush.
Currently your vehicles stop (because the map ends) right next to the enemy and will get destroyed before they can exit the map.
Just my opinion...

I never play Quick Battles (AI is way too poor) or the campaigns (dont have the time for that), the scenarios are the way to play CM for me.
