  1. This implies that being inside a building in CM:BS is "safer" than being outside it, or behind it. Bugging out the back door and using the entire building for cover IS safer in most situations. It's just that the TAC-AI isn't smart enough to identify those situations when it would be suicide.

     

    And thats the problem, i think the panic behavior needs some tweaking, especially for soldiers in buildings, they are bugging out to quickly and often just run towards (!) the enemy...

    Just a little question.

     

    What im trying to do is this:

    A Inf Team uses the "Target Briefly" command for 30sec and then uses the "Fast" command to move to another position during one WEGO turn.

    I tried it but they always move first without firing a single shot.

     

    Is this even possible to archive during one turn (Fire for 30sec then move) ?

  3. To make two things clear:

    • I think the graphic of the CMx2 games is almost "good enough", i just dont like the low draw distance (LOD) and the overall bad performance on my system and Battlefronts attitude towards textures.
    • I played a lot of ArmA and i tried to play with High-Command stuff but its not the same as playing CM, just the fact that controling the movement is a pain in the a** or that ArmA AI has some serious problems with buildings.
  4. You are totally right about that. I wish there was more abstraction in close comabt and infantry combat in general. That would lead to much more realistic outcomes.

    You have the conga line.

    You have the "single shooter kills my squad"

    You have the insanely deadly automatic rifle fire

    You have a TacAI that hates buildings (for some reason)
