  1. My replies are in bold black I will reply to your other arguments when I am more free.
  2. 1, Militarily invading a neighbor without a legal government to protect Russian interests. 2, Again a fair vote which majority of people in Crimea supported, ask the Crimean dude in the forum don't even mind me I have family living in Crimea I don't. 3, It is not a fake civil war, going to Donbass you will automatically realize it is a civil war. 4, What is this? 5, Until there is a picture of weapons in these convoys you have nothing against them, as they have indeed provided aid. 6, Russia did not shoot down an airliner, obviously the Russian armed forces can understand when a plane is flying at commercial airliner altitudes. 7, NATO routinely goes near our borders with ships and planes as well, not like anyone is dying or going to die because of this. 8, Ship was a bit close, and just how the British navy tailed the Russian sub in internation waters, pilot maybe got too low 9, Take me into greater detail of this one. 10, Sure what else 11, If this has been done, it is not right. Although, just a near by example, Donald Trump also says things like that and so does other officials in the U.S. 12, Done in Russian borders to increase readiness rates of whole military districts, NATO has a specific goal in these drills (against Russia) 13, Well they are Russian troops and it isn't from another country. 14, Maybe we should go more detailed in this one 15, If this is true, America has done such things in Syria, funding whole armed groups. 16, Yeah sure the Turkish F-16 was able to target aquire and hit the Russian plane in the 7 seconds it was in Turkish airspace what else? 17, If a certain country did not shoot down a Russian plane, there would have not been such air defenses. Although this is good, now we have a better presence in the region. Steve, Honestly I hope politics doesn't make you get personal against me, I don't have anything against you I enjoy your games
  3. Yeah what ever, I gave out the facts you can believe them or not. You can watch videos of people being shelled and killed by Ukrainian artillery, and a bunch of support for the rebellion. Of course propaganda will have you think otherwise, now if you are saying that I'm contradicting myself how so? I don't deny Russian military presence in Ukraine, Although I also don't deny the the people of Donbass were killed by clumsy Ukrainian ATO aimed at killing people who don't want to be apart of a government they did not get a say in. Of course you can twist this and say "No there are 30,000 active Russian soldiers in the Donbass armies very few of them are locals" but I'll tend to agree with a little bit of logic. (yes 30,000 active soldiers in Donbass army)
  4. I've talked about it numerous times, with a bunch of people, Russia does support the DPR/LPR armies against Ukraine. Yes I agree, but it did not start the rebellion the people of the east do not support this new government that was thrown in out of no where NO MATTER what you say you do know that a violent riot which killed and injured dozens of people kicked the government out, without the say of any other regions. If the Ukraine will abuse the Russian and Ukrainian peoples (which I view as one in fact I am of Ukrainian descent if we look at it) then Russia will of course support Russian/Ukrainian groups rebelling. If Ukraine did not launch this ATO not one life would have been lost, it is not like the people of Donbass are invading themselves. I support Russia helping Donbass armies, be it arming them or training them. If it was not for this violent and savage overthrow of the government, Crimea would still be Ukrainian, no civil war would have started. Of course you may disagree. I don't know, what has NATO done to show the world that it is not aggressive? It's bombing records show otherwise, they love to "help" other countries in trouble. Countless of times supporting rebelling sides of conflicts, so when Russia is doing it automatically we are evil? I mean don't get me wrong, I would love for Russia and NATO countries to get along and I have many American and European friends, but if NATO thinks Russia is aggressive now because of Ukraine... Does that make America aggressive for supporting Syrian rebel groups? Or maybe launching a air campaign in Libya supporting a rebellion? Sure you can say Gadaffi was a dictator, but see how there was a rebellion because people didn't get to choose what happened in Kiev? So what makes Russia much more evil than NATO?
  5. Not really, a bunch of missiles are on the stand-by in Kaliningrad. If it's modernizing its own defenses there's nothing Russia can say against it. But if NATO as an organization is posing to face the "Russian threat" that is a threat to Russia itself, there are issues. Again we cannot argue because what we believe in is not compatible and we would have to argue about a bunch of other things. Poland is not much of a threat by itself, we have a fleet on the stand by as well as tactical missiles on large scale. As well as a air defense bubble that is pretty sophisticated. What is a threat is NATO making Russia out to be a aggressive country that can invade at any time and holding large scale maneuvers solely against Russia and bringing relations to almost cold war levels.
  6. The ABM missiles are in no way a major threat to Russia, although if the bases are expanded they can be. Russia doesn't like the ABM shield because it is obviously against Russia and to send a message against Russia. Obviously we will not like this, because it further breaks the promises of not expanding east wards. Now you have a ABM shield right next door, which will provide an advantage to NATO early warning radars and what not.
  7. This just turned into a bash Russia and curse Putin thread not that shocked. I had honestly written a bunch of stuff but I decided its not worth it, if Russia is evil in your eyes its evil. Nothing me or you or the average person can do about it, so I'll just get back into my scenario on CMBS.
  8. I totally edited this post, I won't go on because obviously this thread is heading towards a lock. I'm done arguing politics further.
  9. Hehe thanks buddy, same goes for you. Medvedev was obviously Putin's guy, In Russia there were a bunch of jokes about it. Of course in Russia anti-government officials have been killed, although it wouldn't be fair to assume Vladimir Putin is behind them. There are too many factors at play to be able to pin on Putin, which btw has a very high approval rating. Personally too, among my friends and family there really isn't anyone who doesn't approve of him. Viktor Yanukovich was elected and yes he definitely was pro-Russian, although this gives no right for violent protests with molotov cocktails and guns, and then out of no where you have a sniper shooting into these crowds and at the police. Russia is worried about NATO's expansion because it would limit our capability to defend ourselves, and it also limits our geopolitical stance in the world and gives the advantage to other powers.
  10. So we're comparing Putin's actions to say a dictator of post ww1 and pre ww2, btw I don't understand how you know he is a dictator whenever us Russians know he is a elected president of the Russian federation. And the Russian media is not that different(propaganda wise) compared to CNN and Fox News other then that some are state owned. All Russian citizens have access to the internet the same as you (save for some websites that have nothing to do with politics or hindering living standards) we all are aware of Russian politics, and we know our countries cons. Corruption for example, is known in Russia, and Putin is known for attempting to bring corruption low. (which noticeably it has) Pathological liar is different compared to what is known as "Maskirovka" tactics. Russian OPs in Ukraine are ultimately denied to achieve what is knowns as "Maskirovka" US and EU already know of Russian support to DPR and LPR, and have imposed sanctions on Russia based on that. Although there is another truth which your media even if transparent never shows to you. And it is that a government that has not been voted for, and was put in based on some pro-EU rioters which arguably were supported by the EU. If such politics will ensue in Ukraine, then obviously the Russian federation will protect itself, (taking Crimea which majority voted yes and majority support this move) And supporting an active rebellion against Ukraine(while winning support because the lack of Ukrainian care for its operations regarding collateral damage). Look at how NATO is moving to isolate Russia since 2004 expanding eastwards, Ukraine was bound to join NATO, which will inevitably happen in the coming 4-5 years. And now look at that, a military isolated Russia which is demonized on every geopolitical thing it does, while NATO countries enjoy the support of its own populations. If you really believe that the Kiev government was installed more democratically than Putin's government then... I don't know what else to tell you.
  11. A Russian supplied BUK? Ukraine operates those, and they were operating them near the conflict zone. Also, regarding the posts, it could be even a claim that was brought forth because they saw a plane that was dropping from the sky(scheduled AN-26 to fly that day and assumed that a unit hit it). But I don't want to go deep into this for reasons you understand unless Steve goes the go ahead. (flame war and or lock of this thread that has good arguments) 30K Soviet troops did not die in Afghanistan 15K dead in total. A base being attacked and losing 30 men will justify more action against ISIS, like I said the general public likes that we are having an air campaign in Syria against terror groups, and majorily thats what it is, an air campaign. It is nothing like Afghanistan.
  12. You shared a link where the US suffered heavy casualties in a taliban raid, That did not affect the US' operations in Afghanistan. Why would losing a few dozen men affect the Russian ops in Syria, ISIS is a threat to Russia, and ISIS affiliated groups in Dagestan and Chechnya have been active. There is a justification for the Russian ops in Syria. Of course, if Russia were to lose men in a combat mission then I can understand a cover up to save face. In Ukraine's term, its a whole different idea. In Syria the casualties will never even be close to the men lost in Afghanistan. The SU-25 shooting down the MH-17 is a bit ridiculous. Again the investigations were too late to determine anything, we can only put together theories. It is Ukraine's air traffic control that deserves to be thrown into court for sending an aircraft over a war zone where planes are being shot down. Now we have 298 peoples lives lost, and politics to mask who killed them. I won't rule out an accidental shootdown, but as we know that Russia militarily supports DPR/LPR, I'm sure that it would have been identified that it was a airliner. Either way if the DPR/LPR shot it down then Ukraine bares the same responsibility for it for letting this airplane fly over zones where there is a conflict. Also lets look at it this way, an airplane flying at commercial airliner altitudes 25 miles away from the Russian border heading towards Russia would be very stupid to shoot down by the DPR/LPR. Unless we can get a structure of air defenses of the Ukrainian army and DPR/LPR army I'm not going to really pin it on anyone other than Ukrainian air traffic.
  13. No not that much either I honestly have no idea how much KA-52s are in service.
  14. Ukraine is a bit different compared to Syria, there would be no point in hiding these casualties in Syria. Plus all the Syrian sources I've went through have denied the incident as well. And honestly, looking at the SAT pics it is very odd how the impacts are in the areas that matter. And there isn't any more dispersion. there are more than 10 KA-52s in service with the RuAF.
  15. Sure I won't deny there have been civvies killed(not as much as claimed by rebel groups in Syria) by RuAF strikes, but none of them purposely as stated by a lot of media sources. Like I said SVP-24 has a CEP of 3-5 meters for what is considered to be "low" altitude. But let's face it, terrorists/bandits/rebels have strongholds in urban areas where civvies are. And often times, they are held there on purpose. KA-52s weren't deployed to T-4 airbase as far as I know, and I've been following upon these events since the beginning. There were MI-35s deployed there, but no other attack helicopter types. If the base incident was legitimate you wouldn't be able to hide the casualties caused by that incident. According to those images a logistics place was hit too and that would cause dozens of deaths if true.
  16. KA-52s are only deployed at the latakia airbase, and Russian MoD still denies that this incident happened. There is no other proof about this incident other then some edgy satellite images. The guy is funny, Russian air force has been bombing civvies XD he never takes into account any statements given out by the Russian MoD and his bias against the Russian Air Force in the beginning of the article gave me a good laugh.
  17. We're talking about totally different political systems here, different histories, and different national mentalities. I don't think it would be fair to compare in such a way, because Kim Jong Un is a psychopath and dictator. I don't want to get this thread locked it has informational arguments in it. So let's try to get back into topic. Haiduk so far I am impressed at the reforms of the Ukrainian military industry, AA and anti-ship capabilities is a must for Ukraine against a possible Russian-Ukraine war. And I think your government has made a smart choice.
  18. I think Javelins were not sent into Ukraine because if UA were to receive these weapons, just like the other equipment soldiers were forced to abandon the same would happen with the Javelins. And if Separs get their hands on Javelins then Russia will get its hands on it. Javelins wouldn't really have changed the outlook so much, it would shape tactical level offensives although. Artillery would be used way more often if that were to be the case, and also I'd think a commander would think twice before sending a assault through an open field. (limiting attack directions) Also, can we please stop with the Putin is a devil or Russia is a demon type stuff, he was elected president by his people and his approval rating is high. If he has invaded Eastern Ukraine sure in your eyes its evil but that doesn't change the fact that no one bashes NATO when they support other rebellions against other countries. (TOW-2s in Syria training Syrian rebels) Bombing Libya supporting rebels, over 1 million people being effected in Iraq, ect, ect. I don't want to come out as offensive but I'm getting offended by people constantly demonizing Russia or Russians, whilst not looking at their own nations doings.
  19. Honestly, The US armed forces has a huge budget, alot bigger than the RU armed forces, they could go ahead and buy a lot more to fill the gap probably a issue to get more tax money. Who knows XD
  20. Certainly Ukrainian SAM systems can damage the RuAF, however I don't think the RuAF would suffer unacceptable losses(lessons learned from Georgia). Cruise missiles and other tactical missiles are now the forefront of any invasion plans of the Russian armed forces. However, I don't think CAS would be so available because Ukraine does possess dangerous AA assets, and if a mistake is made by Russian command to not deal with this issue, then indeed Ukraine can hurt RuAF operations very badly. Also MLRS of the Russian armed forces would atleast push strategic AA assets 90 KM away from front lines. It is a smart move by the Ukrainian government to activate SAM units. As you said RuAF can't be defeated but depending on the strategy Ukrainian defenses could halt air attacks, which will work in the favor of Ukraine. Which hopefully for Ukraine can help them fight on equal grounds.
  21. SVP-24 systems on Russian planes allow for dumb bombs 3-5 meter CEP at low altitudes where manpads can pose a threat, although the higher you go the system will have less accuracy. Russia has a stock of precision guided weapons, how ever if it were to use precision guided missiles in every sortie (over 10,000 sorties conducted) that would be a problem.
  22. Haiduk, This PDA system is very impressive. Are they distributed as a Battalion attach or? I know of Ukrainian recon units providing good info on Separ positions think a guy had said if you are exposed to enemy units for 5 minutes you'll have mortars raining on you. Skill rating of DPR/LPR: Guys sitting in the front line are regular-veteran for the most part, you'll have guys from units like "Sparta" who vary from veteran to crack. Leadership a +1 or +2, unit leaders are pretty friendly compared to some in the Russian Ground Forces(conscripts use to get the worst its all fixed now). Alcohol abuse shouldn't be widespread among DPR/LPR boys in the front lines, discipline is strict in that sector. Motivation should vary from regular-high among these units. Skill rating of Russian Ground Forces: Leadership in the Russian military now is very professional and effective(hence why our active army has decreased compared to our reserve), I'm satisfied with officers in the Russian military. Also drills and training have stepped up, and I'd say from watching documentaries on NATO armies' trainings. Are very comparable and mostly on par with them, except for the US army's which goes more in depth with the individual soldiers (which I come to respect of the US armed forces.) Although still very comparable with the US army's in terms of basic training and squad-platoon-company-battalion training exercises. The Russian soldier today is of course comparable in training standards to NATO armies. A few years back I wouldn't be able to say this. Given a conflict in Eastern Ukraine, I'd say high readiness units with experience would be deployed so expect 100% regular and veteran troops with leadership at 0 or +1 and in pro units +2. Motivation regular to high among these units and mostly made up of professional lads. Just this year the Russian Armed Forces will hold 2000 drills, exercises and training events.
  23. BMP-1s are still okayish although BMD-1s....
