  1. so basically you can see it like each unit is a man in a battle in a building, where everyone has good eyesight.
  2. my mom loved it, and I thought that was stupid. I told her that the characters had no depth and they were talking bs the whole time.
  3. maybe the birds run away because they are afraid of getting killed, and during ww2 no one was shooting birds so they weren't afraid. Or maybe it's a rhetorical device which adds a sense of peace to war, which is ironic, which just makes the war aspect disgusting.
  4. no I played it before, over the summer, but I wasn't that good, but I think I'm better now. You know I'm just waiting until bs
  5. ship it to india, everything is cheaper there. Plus they make a profit with the missiles. Tanks take like 3 million to make
  6. but I would not, like some sort of idiot, walk up right to the tank, IN SINGLE FILE so I could do God knows what. That's just stupid. Always assume it's a trap.
  7. dude if I was the ss commander, and this was a combat mission scenario, and I KNEW that there were no enemy troops in the area? As soon as I saw the tank I would run into the trees, put suppressive fire, run 40 men on the flanks, and have one of them pop a grenade down the hatch, without one guy dying. The buttoned up tank is like a room with little holes for windows. How you gonna know what's going on? And if I didn't know if there were troops in the area, and this was still combat mission, I'd assume it's a trap, send 3 scout teams, two to the left and right, and one to the tank while the rest of my force hides in the trees. Assuming that they stay buttoned up because it's an ambush, my scout team would see who's in the area, then I would go around the trees to where the tank can't see me, and suppress the us forces on the sides, then after they are taken out, I would surround the tank using buildings as cover, and get one guy to come in the back of the tank and throw a grenade in the hatch. Or if I had a panzer shriek with me, I'd just blast him with that the first moment I'd see the tank, just to be safe.
  8. dude you like that movie? That movie suuuuucked, it was stupid from the second to first scene to the last scene. And the ending was total bs, maybe if all the ss were high on LSD they would of had a better chance than what they did in the movie. Why did they just flat out WALK to the tank? And not send one guy to check it out? And why did the tank commander let the ss surround him? Total bs. I would of shot them when they were walking a single file line towards the tank. THAT was the time to shoot. Not after they completely surrounded you, and somehow no one just kept on top of the tank and put a grenade it it. That movie was complete bs.
  9. I would have stealthsilent1 tied to a chair and forced to play CMBN/RT/FI for 8 hours straight without forum access ... ( just kidding, questions are good )
  10. no you have a point, my ideas are detached from reality and I'm living in an illusion. But also its good to ask questions, both are true.
  11. cool list. But 80k is stupidly expensive for something you could make for less than 10k
  12. youre right about the same tactics as it's still a game of hide and seek except now it's almost impossible to scout at night without being seen. But in the day you could do it. It's going to be have to played very differently, more like CQC IN A BUILDING.
  13. I think it's going to be a game either, of multiple small viewing arcs for infantary and tanks, because the first to scout will lose all the scouts. At the day, your infantary will still be hidden at maybe 1km+ distances, but nearer than that they will be spotted, so use your infantary in buildings and in woods to scout. But at night, it's just going to be, everyone one can spot anyone from any distance. So it's a game of who can see who first. Or just scouting little small areas at the field at a time.
  14. then just tnt the ground so make the hole
  15. Also, quotes take a hell of a lot of time to do, they are hard.
  16. Let me tell you my qualifications: I'm a chubby bum in a dark room wasting his life away on video games. that's probably true if I think about it. Especially if I had 8x zoom binoculars. And if this was real combat, yea that would be retarded. But this is combat mission where I deploy my units in a box, and maybe 1/10th of the box is forested space where I can crawl to, it works in the game. Yea that's basically it, I am not in a real war, and I don't want to be in one. But this game doesn't work like real life, it's got limitations. So it's a game, and you gotta understand how it works to use it and beat the guy against you yea that's true, but in combat mission rushing up your apc's is a death trap from either a still tank or a hidden javalin. By the way, I love the javalin, it's useful as hell. yea that's because the tank has gyroscopes and the zoom camera is incredibly stable, and it has all sorts of fancy optical gear to contrast and whatever, but in combat mission, I think the spotting ability of a soldier is a little worse than a optical humvee, but because people are smaller, they are harder to see, which make them the better scouts, in combat mission. And only in combat mission. i don't get it. Have the scouts near the tank, that's what you're saying right? yea but this is combat mission, where its not so one sided, and we some time to do that, since we are playing in a box.
  17. thats any game, that's the way to play games
  18. i know exactly what you mean. You like the idea of it being a game and it being a challenge, and using your head and your skill to overcome those challenges. And the idea of challenge paired with risk when playing a game is fun, it's what makes this game a game. But you can say that about anything. The idea of a challenge and risk is fun, but the camera controls need to be fixed, the game will feel like a brand new game after an update, I'd say, 60% as good as developing a new title, because it's almost the same game each time, but camera controls would make this game really smooth and would be appealing. It would make this game better.
