  1. Totally agree...no rushing required. It happens when it does.
  2. Koh is correct, there was no snow that far south for the Ortona campaign...just the usual Italian mud
  3. 1st Canadian Infantry Brigade ready for the march on Ortona!
  4. Interestingly enough, Ian, I created a forum topic months ago on just this situation. I had a German tank crew who had abandoned it's MKIV and was subsequently eliminated. But the tank was fine. I had another German HQ tank crew who had their tank destroyed under them but were ok. I wanted to move this HQ to take over the abandoned tank, but alas, the game wouldn't let me. Crew swapping happened all the time, especially when the leader's tank was shot up up, they just moved in to another tank to resume command and control. Anyway, you just triggered something I had thought about
  5. Kuderian: if you haven't noticed, there are two more trench systems to the immediate right (as we look at them) of those AT guns....beware
  6. I just started playing through this campaign, and I am halfway through the first battle. One of the toughest AI opponents I have yet faced. This is a great start to hours of fun. Love the maps and the time challenge - very little sneak and peek. Thanks for your very hard work PS I just got my buddy, stonecutter, to start playing as well. He is likewise, very impressed!
  7. Ah yes the WW1 solo mission. I remember doing that but not that many times!!!
  8. Holy nostalgia boys! I remember those SPI games! One of my faves was called "Patrol" which recreated section sized actions (individual soldiers) and each soldier had a name and specific weapon. Very cool. What was some of your fave SPI games? I also enjoyed games like Afrika Korps, SL/ASL of course, Richtofens War (with the expansion card deck so your planes could now do maneuvers in combat), Diplomacy although I think they were all Avalon Hill. I remember at Military College in the early 80's a small group of us would stay up late watching SCTV every night and laughing our a$$es off, much to the chagrin of the study-aholics
  9. OMG you guys are getting near and dear to my heart....yeah SCTV was pure genius with its cast of characters...Johnny LaRue, Sammy Maudlin, Lola Heatherington, Bobby & Skip Bitman, Dr. Tongue...on and on. Thanks to You Tube you can still watch many episodes
  10. Wicky that did work out. I love the simple, quick and effective Quicktime editing to do the most basic trimming and linking clips. In iMovie, I was able to add text transitions and music to my CM movie clip.....sweet. Thanks again for your help
  11. Yes I have...thanks for your links...I will check them out
  12. I just tried using iMovie for the last hour....trimmer is always greyed out as well as other editing options. Frustrating
  13. Many thanks! Quicktime Player does a decent job, but lacks editing...I will check out your recommendation
  14. sweet...do they counterattack? hold? withdraw to new positions? set up ambush? so many options.....I wonder what those sneaky boys do?
  15. Fellow Mac users! For those who capture video footage, what is your preferred video software? Now that I have mastered screen shots (I know, real hard eh?) I am interested in venturing into this realm of video footage. Any advice, suggestions and recommendations would be most appreciated.
  16. I am really interested in seeing what the Axis do now....when do we know, Koh?
  17. Ian speaketh the truth! At one point, I actually had one tank cross the river but it could not climb the bank! There was a small gap where the cursor turned green - ok - but it wasn't large enough for the tank to fit through. So I had to re-cross the river and cross again - 3 times. I was lucky there were no immobilisations...just a few temporary bogs
  18. sweet! yeah, the Lady Jacqueline would probably not approve either...I saw Rush last summer in Halifax though!
