  1. Great work so far. Feel free to use (and improve) any of the buildings from this mod.. http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=112132&page=2 Ditto any of my other mods.
  2. The possibility of CMSF Redux is brilliant news. I can't wait to see what mods this might inspire. Happy? Hell, yeah!
  3. Still pottering around with this one. Limits to what I can do, as previously discussed. Have swapped in the Dutch from the Nato Module to play the role of the Argentinian forces. Means that in Blue vs Blue both sides have night vision. Have also been experimenting with adapting one of the QB maps to a fictional engagement for the Falklands. Still a way to go.
  4. Erwin - what do you want to capture. Game screenies or your desk top? If desktop you prob don't need fraps. See here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-xp/help/setup/take-a-screen-shot If a game then try what I've suggested. Hope helps.
  5. What can I say about all those sprained wrists......A soldier's life can be lonely one. Ahem. But, yes, I tend to reduce the occurrence of wounds as it can grate. Erwin - fraps. Launch it. Launch game. Choose what you want to capture. Press F10. Look in screenshots folder in fraps directory. Done.
  6. Nice work on those new helmets. For those who have them, the Dark Knight C's AB mods also offer some good options once extracted (using the mod tool) and named correctly. Here's a pic of these with some other mods by DKC, Ben Park (I think), me and some of Aris' faces renamed to apply to Brits. I also use some of George MC's Brit cuss mods and Mord's portraits. A little experimentation/modding can provide some satisfying results in v2.00 using the great work done by earlier modders and the new ones.... Sadly, I can't get DKC's berets to work anymore due to the new way of doing things under v2.00.
  7. LukeFF - I don't think you need to. This is a full model swap, not a partial replacement of the helmet.
  8. Saferight. Thanks very much. I do love the ability to hex edit/model swap in CMSF. Great work on your mod too. Nice to have the weapons swapped alongside the troops. You'll see that I've sign-posted it in the download thread for the Syrian Infantry. It deserves that reminder
  9. Syrian Infantry 2013 v1.0 (CM:SF) This download contains a rar file of amended Syrian 3D infantry models, uniforms, helmets & faces to better resemble those used by the Syrian regime in 2013 (i.e. now use the m97 helmet). It completely replaces the Syrian infantry/Republican Guard in CMSF. It uses mods/ideas by other authors as well as myself. All credit to Birdstrike, Mord, M1A1TC, Aris and any other authors I may have missed. It is intended for use with SCW scenarios. WARNING: This mod alters the appearance of the reserve/regular Syrian infantry by replacing them with the 3D model for special forces. It should not be used with other Syrian infantry mods. Special forces mods are unaffected. [Latest news - just aware of this one. You may also wish to use the swapped weapons incl in Saferight's Syrianvis mod which I understand look more like the current load-outs. Good if you want to trade all those AK-74s for AKM/AKMS. However, use the soldier models in my mod as these have been edited to point to the new uniforms.] http://www.battlefront.com/index.php...leinfo&id=2848 My thanks to him for that mod.] Installation FIRST STEPS You'll need . winrar to unzip the mod to your desk top. . CM:Shock Force INSTALLATION 1. Download the new mod's winrar file 4. Unzip the new 'Syria Infantry Mod' folder to your desktop. 5. Drop the the new mod's folder into your Z folder (in your data directory of Shock Force) as a seperate file. NOTES Have included some rag-tagging: uniforms, divisional insignia etc. Cheers Blimey
  10. No probs. Glad to help. Hopefully they'll go well with Mord's combatants. Submitted to the Repository today. Should be available in the next few days. ******************************************** Extract from the Read me Syrian Infantry 2013 v1.0 (CM:SF) This download contains a rar file of amended Syrian 3D infantry models, uniforms, helmets & faces to better resemble those used by the Syrian regime in 2013 (i.e. now use the m97 helmet). 11. Dim If you want it I have a mod that replaces the 3D model for normal Syrian forces with that for the special forces. It'd prob work for the new SRG. Give me a few days to tidy up the uniform and post.
  12. Hi I'm no expert on scenario creation but you can delete individual units once purchased. In the map/scenario editor, look at the bottom right hand side of the purchased screen and you should see a delete key. You can select and delete the vehicles within the unit hierarchy you have purchased by highlighting them and then using delete. More generally, I'd also recommend George MC's scenario creation help file which is available in the repository. Hope this helps.
  13. Impressive. Am looking forward to this and your other project. Can I ask how you get these so right with no overlay tool? You must have spent hours getting the scale right.
  14. Combatintman - thanks that's really useful and, as you've made clear, it's evident that CMSF's design severely limits the realism of this attempted mod. A damn shame as it would have been nice to be able to do this one properly but we are where we are. I'll continue to make some cosmetic changes for those who fancy a few QBs. Your insights have been much appreciated.
  15. Just finishing off the Brit infantry. Hopefully, the helmet now better resembles those worn.
  16. Combatintman - thanks for the expert opinion. Interesting to hear from someone who has walked the ground. Could you highlight where you feel the most obvious weaknesses are? Would the Arg have greater equality in terms of their weaponry? Appreciate I can't replicate the actual weapons ...FN etc. I might use a NATO slot with some model swapping if I need to upgrade the Arg forces capabilities.
  17. Thanks Buzz Odd, maybe, but I enjoy CMSF more than the later releases Have been reading the Martin Middlebrook book on the Falklands War on kindle. Sparked my interest. A sad affair with some tragic mistakes. It would be good to see some scenarios.
  18. Hippy. Ha. My long hair and free love days are long gone, my friend. Looooong gone. Actually, not sure I ever had them in the first place.
  19. IDF....nope. Although my IDF mod is already available at the repository. That flag is Argentina. Think 1982....
  20. This will be next up....for those with the Brits module. Borrowed or new Uniforms Voices Terrain Music Sounds Very much an infantry focused affair. And obviously some limits to what can be done within the constraints of CMSF. Lots more to do.
  21. .....awaiting clearance? Sent all the to repository on the same day. Let me know if need to submit again.
  22. 3j2m7 - thanks. Very kind. Have already released a few. Check out the Israelis (Brit) Australians (NATO) Gurkhas (Brit) French (NATO) ANF And watch out for my South America mod which is waiting for clearance:)
  23. These have been sent to the Repository and should appear soonish. Road to Baghdad Mod - Add on 2 - IRAQIS v1.0 (CM:SF) It is intended to be used with my original Road to Baghdad mod and RTB news and music mod. Both available in the Battlefront repository. This download contains a rar file of amended Iraqi uniforms, helmets & faces to better resemble those used by Saddam Hussein's regime. It completely replaces the Iraqis sub-folder in the original mod. See full instructions below. It uses mods by other authors as well as myself. All credit to Birdstrike, Mord, M1A1TC, Aris and any other authors I may have missed. WARNING: This mod alters the appearance of the Syrian infantry, special forces, fighters and combatants and should not be used with other mods that alter these files. FIRST STEPS You'll need . winrar to unzip the mod to your desk top. . CM:Shock Force INSTALLATION 1. If you have RTB already installed, find the original mod in your Z folder (usually found in the data folder of Shock Force) and look for a sub-folder called Iraqis. 2. Delete the Iraqis sub-folder. 3. Download the new mod's winrar file 4. Unzip the new 'Iraqis' folder to your desktop. 5. Drop the the new Iraqis sub-folder into the RTB folder in your Z folder (in your data directory of Shock Force). Should be good to go.
  24. A few more screenies.....this time of the excellent Mout map with some new textures and names (excuse my Spanish). Unfortunately the mod now weighs in at around 900mb (have built in some existing mods to try and keep everything under one roof) ....so could struggle to get this on the repository!!
  25. LLF - thanks for responding. Appreciate your time, given your location. I hope things get better there soon.
