  1. I should explain further.... What determines Los? Is it coded into the 3d object or are attributes linked to terrain by other means? If the latter, then I wonder whether the above suggestion might work.
  2. LLF - for CMSF purposes could we not use a high wall whose mdr file has been swapped with that for a form of vegetation. So it looks like vegetation but has the characteristics of a wall? You'd then scatter these los blockers amongst the normal trees. Expect you've tried that already.
  3. Experimenting with certain looks. Given the size of this mod so far I may have to peel away some stuff. Also I won't be making scenarios, but envisage that infantry based urban battles would be the way to go. Some QB maps can deliver these. I'll try to throw in a small map to show how the new textures and stuff can work.
  4. Erwin - thanks for the feedback. Will be good to see an updated CMSF although I'd be worried if that fresh lick of paint restricted the mods and modding options we currently enjoy. Hex editing etc. Be nice if any update could tackle room clearance and LoS issues in vegetation. See LLF comment. LLF - really enjoy your mods. Inspired a lot of what i try. See your point if vegetation effects are limited. Combatintman - your Afghan and Iraq scenarios are brill. One option I did consider with this was a neo-Falklands spat, albeit with similar battles to the original. So a mainly infantry based affair.
  5. Am experimenting with a mod set in Panama, although it could be adapted for any fictional South American scenario. So far incl - Spanish voices Modded combatants and Panamanian regts New music Background sounds Green Terrain based on the Euro mod. Some splashes Road signs A lot more to do but getting there.
  6. Now available at - http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/5008/details You may recognise one particular tune. Should work fine but as I have yet to purchase MG this mod is based on the assumption BF hasn't renamed the stock music files.
  7. Thanks Erwin. Nice info. These might be useful too for other scenarios, Iraq etc http://ambushalleygames.com/resources/downloads/28-players-scenarios
  8. Erwin - this new mod doesn't roll all the multicam releases into one mod. This latest release only covers 2 units - Rangers and the option for Spec F, albeit this release is standalone and doesn't need the other multicam mod to work. So my earlier multicam mod (which incl options for various divisional insignia, such as the 3ID) isn't obsolete. However, you can't have both mods installed at the same time as they affect the same bmps for the US infantry models, for example uniform.bmp. Swap them in and out as of the z folder as you prefer. Hope that helps.
  9. Erwin ....yes, you need to swap out my other multicam mod if you want to use these Rangers. The Rangers (and Spec Forces) have a few more helmet options incl and faces. This is a separate mod to the earlier one.
  10. Thanks for the kind comments. Much appreciated. BTW - if you want to you can 'fight' the Taliban in CMSF QBs using the Irregulars Mod from the Repository. http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=314&func=fileinfo&id=2305 Here's some more screenies. This time of the multicam 82nd AB option.
  11. Have uploaded the final version of the US multicam mod to the Repository. Should be with you soon. Includes options for a range of divisional insignia. Have also included the modded faces previously referred to.
  12. Erwin... No. Aris' faces aren't a direct port. I had to resize and clone them over the CMSF bmps.
  13. Thnx I converted over Aris' faces from his CMFI mod. They're already available in the RTB mod if you want them. Just extract them out of RTB and copy them into the z folder.
  14. These will be available from the repository in around 2 weeks. I'll incl various divisional insignia to swap in and out.
  15. Thanks Buzz. Think there's a few Iraq related scenarios out there... Across the canal, USMC-circle the wagons. And more. Most should be in the Repository or come with the module.
  16. http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/4971/details London Irish Rifles Mod - v1.0 (CM:GL 2.00) You need CM:GL. This download contains a rar file of - amended M37 uniforms, helmets, voices and face files to represent infantry from the London Irish Rifles, 56th (London) Division. OPTIONS Default Div Patch is the 1st LIR, 56th (London) Division. Cat patch. Optional - is the 2nd LIR of 38th Irish Brigade, 78th Division. The Mk2 helmet is replaced by the Mk3 as IMHO it looks more like the netted Mk2 worn by some Brit troops in Italy [if you want the Mk2 back delete the MDR files incl in the mod]. CREDITS - This mod uses lots of work by Aris, Ben Park and Vein as a base. All credit should go to them. INSTALLATION FIRST STEPS You'll need . winrar to unzip them to your desk top. . 18. Hi - script errors reported when trying to upload a CM:CW mod. Upload then crashes. Seems others are experiencing difficulties too.
  19. Thanks T Grateful for you trying. A shame as it can be done in previous games. I hope this isn't the shape of things to come. Moddability is a big plus IMHO.
  20. Great work. Those look brilliant. Looking forward to them.
