  1. Welcome aboard mbarbaric. Always nice to hear happy customers.
  2. Haven't had the time to check them out in-game but I bet I won't be!
  3. Vein was kind enough to send me the links already. Still working so can't check them out yet though.
  4. I think he said he is into one flight sim and modding planes there. Edit: SimHQ in the Wings: Over Flanders Fields (WOFF)
  5. I support this idea and shouldn't be too hard for devs to implement. Any betas here who could relay the message to them?
  6. MikeyD, you must have missed many same questions on these forums since 3.0 for CMBN and CMFI were released. Convention is confusing and will hopefully be changed by the devs.
  7. Started meddling with the editor for the first time. I picked 1 wooden bunker with a machine gun for axis and one 105 mm mortar team for allies. How do I put them on map? Deployed Allied takes me to the map but have no units there - how do I place them? Read the manual but it states I can freely position units, etc. What am I missing here?
  8. I'm looking for a consistent art style look across the board for all the nations and military branches. I got lost searching for appropriate mods who would work with 3.0. Can someone point me to mods (I suppose there is no single mod who did them all?) which would be plausibly historical? Thank you in advance guys.
  9. Oh cool, coloured frames would do the trick! In need of this feature too.
  10. Vanilla grass sucks. Modded grass rocks. I share your view that something more reasonable/plausible should be done then current vanilla grass (maybe grass's color where devs come from is like that, dunno, but definitely not EU grass). Fortunately later games like CMFI and CMRT have much better stock terrain textures. Vanilla sound is just average. Modded sounds rock. Where you see vanilla have two different weapon sound files but both sounding the same sound mods take care of that so that you hear two distinct weapons. Unfortunately not all weapons got assigned their own sound files. Quality of sound should be made better too. Both this things should be indeed improved upon. Will definitely make many of us happier. All bullets in CM appear tracer-like. Stop being funny talking about laser points, hehe. They are there precisely 'cos they make your combat awareness tenfold better then without in such a game. There is a way to get rid of bullet tracers I think by applying alpha channel to them, not sure if someone has done it yet. What I know though I don't use vanilla bullet tracers but modded ones which are subdued and less "into your face". Vanilla flames and other effects are indeed sub-par. Thus I use modded ones which make rather big improvement but sure no fancy shmancy stuff due to game engine limitations. Devs said if they would add flying particles and other gorgeousness current comps would get to a halt since underneath game calculations are already so tasking for the comps. It's a trade off I suppose. Currently no serious sims sport gorgeous graphics which is the same case for your beloved Command: Modern Air Naval Operations game. Correct? I think you will become a much more happier French citizen if you go mod hunting. When you'll settle with them days will become brighter. What's with you French? I came across quite some in my life and many of you seem to be quite direct/blunt and come out as rude for us non Frenchies. Cultural differences thing I guess.
  11. Well, I haven't touched the editor yet and thought someone with the knowledge would be able to give me the answer sooner then me finding the time to learn do stuff in the editor. I'm lame, I know. I agree with you on too easy to spot but don't agree about the taking out part. It takes forever for my tanks to knock them out, sometimes they expand all their HE ammo on them with no results. OK, that was in 2.12, gotta try if something not noted in the dev changelog got introduced in 3.0.
  12. Stumbled on one scenario where I had no armour but 75 mm offmap artillery and onmap 80 mm mortar. Tried knocking it out with mortar fire to no avail regardless of multiple direct hits. 75 mm's plethora of direct hits didn't change the situation either. I know how to properly deal with bunkers (taking care of support units defending it first and then employ either smoke screen or flank) but my question here is what kind of artillery calibre is capable of lnocking out wooden bunkers in hotfixed 3.0?
  13. Daroc, you seem to be really frustrated wigh the game. By this post of yours I got the feeling you havewrong expectations from the game. AV's go where you told them to and sometimes don't obey your orders if they feel too threatened or are rattled, etc. See nothing wrong with that. AI unit's move acording to scfipts and triggers in scenarios. 3.0 brought triggers which make AI handled units more immersive, believable. I see you made more such disgrountled posts across the board. It's not really a good way of expressing your frustrations. We can help you get the most out of the game which is regarded as the best tactical game available at the moment and for,a,good reason while we are at it. Good luck finding a better one. If you do then let us know. You can start by letting us know what ingame situation pisses you so much. AI pathfinding? Let us know what concrete situation was fubarey by the AI. I bet many people will be glad to explain stuff and help you out.
  14. Sure you did a right install order? Let us know how you installed ghe game.
  15. Dude, I don't know that game but aren't you are comparing tactical with strategical game? Briefly looking at it it seems very o,teresting, thanx for pointing it out. Pathfinding ain't much of an issue for me, you just have to set denser waypoints to avoid quirky stuff. As for AI, yeah, sometimes things get fubar but I wouldn't call this a major turnoff.
  16. Their port to 3.0 had some glarring issues which made the game unplayable for some. Thus they had to quickly churn out a hotfix. Be patient, you will get your patch.
  17. They will churn out 3.0 upgrade for Mac first, patch for CMRT is second. So oyu will have to wait a bit more. Frodo, hehe, funny one.
