The only difference is in the file naming.  If you use the one without brackets file saves can get weird as then system will start numbering saves as 1982, 1983, 1984 etc.  The campaigns should be the same, the differences are between ‘79 and ‘82 where the equipment for both sides reflects the 3 year shift.

If used well in the proper situation they can be very deadly. Imo that is as a long range support unit, ideally positioned on the flank. Make sure they have c2 and tentative contact of what you want to destroy, than shoot and scoot through thermal smoke.

Keep them in cover when not firing.

Bringing the Khrizantema to a knife fight is a recipe for disaster. Haiduk already explained its intended use.

However, dont' forget that this missile tank destroyer has a radar sight that works in game. So, pairing a Khrizantema with e.g. a BMP-3 providing IR-blocking smokescreens will allow you to engage US armour at long range without risking being targeted by them (as long as the smoke doen't disperse). And, when it doesn't risk being fired upon, a Khrizantema can be very deadly, considering that it has enough penetration to frontally defeat an M1A2 and salvo fire to overcome APS defences.

    Hello Commanders,

Figure I'd share a few of my AAR videos for Shock Force 2. These are my first couple attempts at creating an AAR. Heavy inspired by the likes of Usually Hapless, Double Vision, and Megalon Jones.

AAR: Day at The Beach (No Commentary)

    AAR: Under The Power Lines

    AAR: British Mettle Part 1

Always looking for feedback and ways to improve. Editing and cinematography will hopefully improve as I make more content.

    Cheers!

Guys you have to play CMBS more  RUS vs US or Excellent RUS (BMP-3/T-90) vs UKR  Thermals teach to:
Never ever move armor to a place that can be fired at from a place that has not been under observation by two observer teams for at least a minute (and two-three minutes is much-much better). Count seconds for your vehicle exposure. 3secs for APs, 5secs for HEATs, 10secs for TL/ATGMs at medium distances. That is the time for the actual exposure - vehicles take some time to drive out of the view. Use pop-and-hide multiple times to trigger a shot and thus force a lengthy reload for an enemy armor. That reveals enemy armor position as a bonus if you have eyes to look at  Find unconventional observation angles for observer teams. Putting even 1-2 psn observation teams in front of enemy armor with thermals is a sure recipe for disaster. Even 1.0-1.5km distance is not enough - thermals can sometimes acquire targets pretty quickly. Be greedy with the number of people in observation teams. One guy is waaaay better than two and two is always better than three. Yes, you'd need more time to dwell upon the battlefield but you'd keep your guys alive. Hopefully How CMCW is easier than CMBS (so far ):
No Javs that can be fired from inside the buildings with impunity. No thermals for US infantry. Relatively few thermals for US armor. PS
CMCW is a really great game! Czechmate is a really great scenario

For the average designer that is spot on.  However, there are some xnt designers who know how to exploit the AI and the editor's available triggers to make it feel like you are playing a cunning human, and examination afterwards shows that the AI enemy was not that large.  I well recall fighting a scenario where the AI was tearing my units apart, and afterwards it turned out that human had a 3:1 advantage over the AI units, the way it's supposed to be.  The designer had placed a bunch of 2 and 3-man teams vs the human player's squads.  The It was impressive how so few enemy were able to do so much damage with automatic weapons.  (Sadly, I don't recall the name of this particular scenario or maybe campaign mission.)

CMBN being the oldest WW2 CM2 release means that it is the most "mature" and has the most upgrades, updates and modules (and also xnt mods that greatly improve the graphics)).  CMBN has a lot of content (scenarios and campaigns) and there are many xnt ones - even though some designers cut their teeth on this title so most are older.  However, in my folder I see 21 (out of approx 445) CMBN scenarios and 2 (out of approx 45 total) campaigns made in in the last 2 years.
(I say "approx" as there are several doc and txt files in those folders as well.)
