I dont think the game is even close to being broken.But a zook team should spot a tank at 25yds.So what happened?Did he spot and not fire?or did he not spot at all.Two totally different issues.A few questions, was the tank outside the covered arc?What was the expereince level of the zook team?Was the zook team hiding?Im wondering if fear is modeled?Maybe troops just freeze in the kaos of war, just like Charlie Sheen did in Platoon when the Viet Cong was right in front of him and all he had to do was hit the claymore switches but he couldn't.Anyway I have seen enough to come to the conclusion that buttoned tank spotting in woods against infantry, especially teams or less, needs to be reduced.Based on sound alone infantry would always spot tanks and armored vehichles well before they would be spotted.

  3. What do you mean by "review map toggle"?I always hit the map preview button several times when I am buying my forces.

  5. So your saying its only off in the replay, but in the original the trajectory was right on line.Ive seen this behavior with tanks as well, the gun is not fully aligned to the target and shoots.

As you can see,in the picture above the gun barrel is pointed directly at the house at the time of fire.You can see the shell come out at about almost a 30 degree difference to nail a direct hit and kill.Is this an abstraction?I thought gun barrell trajectory and alignment to target was supposed to be more of an exact representation. The shell makes impact in this picture,the gun barrel is still pointing at the house. The gun barrel finally turns to the proper trajectory.I have the video which is even more telling.

Im in a qb pbem where I bought my forces based on the map preview showing me on one side of the map.This map,097,if you go in you will see where the allie set up zone is.When the game started I was in the axis setup zone with my allie forces.I based my purchases on starting in the setup zone I thought I was going to be in.Can anyone explain this?

Artillery was frequently unreliable and off target in WW2 even with good lines of sight to the spotting rounds.This is what the game trys to simulate and I think they have done a good job with it.Try this in qbs.Buy an elite fo with +2 leadership,your artillery should be elite as well with +2 leadership,attach the elite fo to a an elite company commander with +2 leadership.When there are all green lights, the arty goes right where you want it every time, and it come quickly.The extra points spent on crack or eilte forward observers and artillery, their leadership,and their commnders is worth every penny.
  12. Wait, you dont get very many mp40's to eat up 9mm.Whatelse is using it up?.I was also talking about my ht supply of 9mm.
  13. Why do they give you so much?At the end of my games I have thousands of rounds left.I blow through 7.92mm.
  14. Why are they allowed in meeting engagements?Is there any realism at all for a trp in a meeting engagement?How were trps used in reality in WW2 as it relates to this game?

It seem like the qb generator likes to give the same maps over and over.Im not saying there is a bug, just wondering if anyonelse is experencing this?Secondly, are people in general satisfied with the amount and quality of the maps that come with the base game.?There are some really good ones, and some awful ones.Some maps were obviosly remakes of an original and tweaked.

If you buy a StugIIIG platoon, all regular,normal,fit,0 modifier.The cost is 278 per tank, or 834 for the platoon.But you get an extra charge of 50 points bringing your price to 884 for the platoon.Is the extra charge just for being attached to the brigade?and if so why?what is that 50 points buying?
  17. Is this function in the game?If your forces are in such bad shape the AI surrenders your units without you clicking the surrender button.

  20. The map is flat and loaded with bocage.There are no good vantage points for the fo.It is loaded with hedges, trees , and bocage.He wont have a clear los to the target or spotting rounds, so the arty will most likely not be accurate.So why buy alot of arty?
