Just a question about this, Is this over- modeled in the game?Did tank he shells explode so easily when hitting tree branches?It seems to me that tank shells are hitting trees at a very high percentage and waisting very valuable he ammunition.I am not talking about heavy woods with hundreds of trees.If there is a group of 1-3 trees, my gunners inevitably find it, and continue to pound he shells into that tree.My kill count on birds and other live critters is astronomical.If I got victory points for killing robins and racoons, Id be unbeatable.Why doesnt the ai recognize this and say hey guys dont fire, were just going to hit the trees again.There is no logic here.
  2. correction, its not just 2 story buildings, can not figure out why this occurs
  3. Waypoints on 2 story buildings only, do not cause the building to go transparent from above.Forcing you to click down to level one to set an arc or facing.All other buildings except 2 story buildings go transparent.
  4. Any trick at getting infantry to occupy previously fine buildings that have now collapsed to flat rubble.The waypoint never goes in the rubble.
  5. Would it be normal for a company hq to not have binoculars.Im in a qb where all the platoon hqs and squads have them, but not the company hq, I dont know maybe it got shot out of is hands and I missed it.lol

Have not done any tests.A regular crew dismounts its tank.Tank is behind slope and not visible.Crew crawls up to crest and has clear sight with binoculars across valley.Spots enemy armor.Crew now knows exactly where the enemy armor is.Fast move back to tank. Tank now does hunt move to crest.Will that tank now spot the threat much quicker if not immediatley due to the crews knowledge of its location, or does the ai not recognise the crews information and the tank has to respot from the begining.

I like this feature.I think it needs to be tweaked a little bit.My troops seem to be" buddy-aiding" when the enemy threats are visible and too close, he should be firing to preserve himself,his wounded buddy, and the squad until close enemy contact is broken.Buddy-aid should commence when things have calmed down a bit.Ive lost some good men while they are "buddy-aiding"in some horrific conditions.I commend their courage,but question their timing.
  12. Can an abandoned anti-tank gun be re-crewed? When you split your anti-tank team from the squad, shouldnt it turn into a little bazooka or faust icon?And dissapear when it rejoins? And crews that abandon anti-tanks guns, their anti-tank gun icon should turn into an infantry or crew icon and not stay as an anti-tank icon, confusing from above.
  13. Can someone mod the 4 fluorescent lime green boxes labeled designer notes,tactical map,briefing,ok?Something olive drab or panzer gray will do. Can it be modded?

If your coming from playing CMBO straight into CMBN without any CMSF in between you will probably be overwhelmed at how different it is and possibly frustrated at first.Be patient and learn the controls, especially the camera controls, once you get used to it , you will find it to be very powerful and way better than CMBO/BB.I didnt like the CMSF change in UI at first, now I think it is great.Give it some time.
  15. Excellent point on my lack of enthusiasm towards the CMSF theater.It was hard to play that game knowing our young men and women were currently giving their lives and limbs in the same type of war as CMSF.

My CMSF days are over.I was never thrilled about the choice of fictional modern combat in Syria.I slowly got comfortable with the original game because of the game engine and bought all of the modules.I did have some very enjoyable battles and the modern style grew on me a little I will admit.I just cant see myself going back to CMSF at all, not with all the great WW2 stuff scheduled to come out from Battlefront.Its always been about WW2 for me.Is anyone else done with CMSF?Or will you play both?Or stick with just CMSF?
  19. Will all flavor objects act the same?It seems like a large cemetery should provide cover and concealment while a lamp post provides niether.
  20. Winecape, Please put me on your list for this tournament, sounds like a blast, I enjoy unbalanced scenarios when you realy know there is no shot at winning and it is a desperate situation.And the AAR sounds like alot of fun.

  23. Is this next week or is this this week?Or is this week the week prior to next?I believe that this week is the week after last.I know we are getting close to the end of April, but does that mean we are close to the begining of May?Who's on First?

I feel the camera controls could not be better, once you learn how to use it properly, they are very powerful.The only improvement I would make is that the lowest to the ground camera view be lower.Currently the lowest camera view is just above their heads while standing.I would like a prone or ground view.You would have a much better pespective as to why a unit does not have a los to an enemy or building.
  25. I heard somewhere recently on one of the many military channel's documentarys that Patton said the most important weapon on the tank was the machinegun and not the main gun.Can anyone confirm this or explain the theory?
