  1. you wont get an argument from me in this case that not being able to area fire on that building is an engine limitation, however that doesn't mean enemy within that building wont be suppressed by your unit once spotted, but I still disagree with your original comment ,"Why is spotting and LOS so poorly represented in this?".I truly do not believe that is the case.We forget all the times the los/spotting works as expected. Is it perfect? No.
  2. Its not. It might be your perception of what spotting and LOS should be.I have very few issues.
  3. It would be cool to have a level above eilte that would not allow units to area fire at unkown units if they are out of c2.
  4. does that mod decrease the chance of getting hit by a bullet?or he?
  5. "A simulated wire connection" is this in the manual somewhere?
  6. They have no radio icon, and are not in c2 with the CO, how are they allowed to call in arty strikes?simulated wire connections?
  7. I reccomend World of Tanks for you.You will find the realism is top notch with no issues whatsoever.Salute
  8. also in the video there seems to be some smoke/dust in front of the Sherman that has nothing to do with the burning tank, maybe its the muzzle smoke
  9. Steve, I thought if one member of the tank crew spots the tank it will show in the game, whether the tank will fire is a different issue, Like when an unbuttoned TC spots another tank on a crest but the gun is too low to shoot. So when you say,"In this case it appears that other crew members, peering through vision ports, spotted the Sherman", should not the Sherman appear in the game ?and the panther just not be able to fire due to all of the other factors you mentioned?
  10. I mean why would they be looking through the optics at all?, an not the vision ports?
  11. Cant move the BA away, it was in the same unit, I wanted the to remain hidden, not move at all
  12. ok I think there is hope for you, that's the most rational thing you have stated. Most people start out sucking, and badly, It takes a good 25 games to start understanding and grasping what is going on and how to play well.
  13. agreed, there are risks to hugging the edge, and also your opponent has the same edge "advantage" or disadavantage
  14. If your opponent consistently does that (edge hug) or anything, then he is predictable, and if you cant stop it then kinda shame on you, also there are risks and ways to defeat a consistent edge hugger .
  15. My scout unit is in the woods with an enemy scout vehicle also in the woods.I hide my unit. But he decides to get up and do buddy aid revealing himself. No way should any unit do buddy aid while the unit has a hide command on.
  16. I couldn't disagree more about "edge hugging is gamey"no matter what you have , what are you supposes to do?not go near the map edges in the name of realism to sacrifice your game plan ?the terrain, the map ,the situation and forces decide your plan of action, and if the map edge is part of that particular plan, then so be it.
