Never mind. turns out the battle pack was installing itself into the wrong place. I installed it into the main BS directory and it works now. Excuse me for the silly mistake. you may delete this and remove this stain on my honour

If you are having problems on a 2nd computer make sure that your security software is not interfering.
Its the same PC.
I get this when I input the key. When I activated it on the first and wrong install, as expected it came up "main game" "engine 4.0" "Battle pack". Now it is just this:

I just bought the CMBS battle back but licensed it on a secondary install of BS I had forgotten about. now I cant license it on the main install. Is this because I can only activate the product once? or am Idoing something else wrong? thank you

Whether it is a set of new installs or not - The Road to Dinas is user made content and as I stated earlier, I doubt Battlefront will update it. Remember that Engine 4 will be adding things like
- Bridges
- Water Features
- Fortifications
- More AI slots
- Triggers
So, while the file may load, if the original designer used marsh tiles for rivers or the old style terrain mesh trenches, then it will just be a bit sh1t really and any mods used will probably not be compatible with the updated artwork.
Your options therefore will be:
- Contact the designer and request them to update to CMSF 2
- Crack the editor open and update it.
True I had not thought about the tiles thing. Hmm well guess we will just have to wait and see

Thats fine with me, I was just at first under the impresion that CMSF2 was going to be a new set of games, as in new instals, and not an upgrade/patch per se. If i can still play the Road to Dinas on CMSF2 I will be happy

ive recently enjoyed alot of this mans AAR videos, I like how he goes into his tactics and why he does certain things. And the way he edits everything is great. Id like to have more physical time to be able to invest into watching it all but this one is a bit toooo long.

Yes i believe the spotting rounds count towards the entire number of shells alocated to the mission.

An interesting video on Russian Mercenaries/PMC. bright colours, data etc etc. Although this chanel is obviously biased and pro russia it does seem to give interesting data on both the Russian army and ongoing events in Syria.

and on VBS3, the excercise i was involved in last week was preety much Company level maneuvers (the company CO practicing briefing with his LTs, viceversa etc etc). we were just there to "drive" the vehicles around. Each platoon had a vehicle or two at the most. Nothing important at the squad level apart from "yes we have reconed the bridge". Altough i had alot of fun, while all the planing was going on I managed to sneak into the games God mode and had a lot of fun calling in airstrikes, artillery and spawning big type 45 destroyers and cargo ships in the middle of Iraq. jaja!

There were big events like that at Rhendahlen barracks in the eightees and ninetees. Always a lot of fun, nice people and much beer. Some even burned their dice after a lost battle.

Ive used MRAPS in real life for sometime and honestly, they serve no purpouse apart from patroling roads. We use RG.31s and IVECO Linces. These later ones are slightly better but they both tend to be very dangerous to drive and tend to topple over. I wouldnt want to getinto a shooting war with them.

Might aswell watch it, its only the intro to the episodes. Ive watched a couple myself and well it gives you a bit of an insight into the Russian army. I found it interesting jaja. recomend you skip the intros and watch the episodes!
