Modern Infantry is really just too heavy. We do our share of hikes and long distance movements in full gear sure, but we dont wear any plates during training (our plates are way heavier than US ones). With (our) plates in my flak vest I wouldnt be able to acomplish much after a while, and forget about when we start assaulting an objective.

marine squads in SF were imo the strongest in game. especially with that hand held 'blooper revolver' 40mm launcher. btw is that the weapon the marines ended up not adopting?
I trained with marines recently and they carried a couple around, They never took them out to the field though. i dont know how many they brought but I think it was atleast one per squad plus some more.

Just out of curiosity im trying to find information on OOB at brigade/division level
I started out with the units we are supposed to be facing in the US campaign. 20th Motor-Rifle brigade and 10th Guards Tank Brigade. The only place I can find "proof" that these units exist is in the supposedly current OOB of Russian Ground Forces thats on Wikipedia.
i understand that Russia is probably a difficult place to get this sort of information out of, so I was just wondering if anyone knew of a place, website or had a PDF or something on Russia ground forces current OOB.
Thank you

Spoilers about crash site mission:
In my opinion this is the weakest of the missions in the campaign. The fact that Russian units are everywhere already takes me out of the experience of the mission. Looks more like an attack mission rather than a "investigate before the russians arrive" mission. Looks like the russians are already there in force. I preety much ended "gaming" the system and moving my humvees around to touch all the objeectives and "win". Personally I would change the mission a bit, but still really enjoyed the campaigh
FIrst campaign to be finished in BS! -
Post a changelog if you can cheers

No worries, hopefully it just means I wont lose the mission

Let me just say its been a great campaign so far...spent half my leave playing it!
quick question. ive reached "Lock Shields" mission. The briefing states an hour and half long timer, but the timer only shows half an hour. Mistake??
-
Yes it is less complicated, thats why its "easier", As said before the game has no reactive AI, so when units are told "DASH" or "ASSAULT" here, they will go there and if they receive no further orders they will stay there. Here they depend on the their tactical AI, which is preety much just shoot, take cover and run away jajaja. They cant organize an assault or anything.
-
Just a question, do you know how AI works in CM? jejeje, the AI isnt capable of reacting or making plans for itself. Any movement they make is preplanned by the scenario designer.

Need to see me some Spain!

Hmmmm, very interesting indeed.

Great mate! Just a question did you have to go through each file independently and rename all of them?
-
boche - Sorry but I wouldn't feel comfortable amending Saferight's stuff.
If you want to tweak your own downloaded version then I use a free prog called Fotosketcher (coloured pencil setting). Great little prog. Easily available on the internet.
Cheers mate jeje ofcourse. Thanks for the info.

Question Blimey, how did you create that effect on the photos?
Id like to add the effect to Saferright´s "Force specific backgrounds" mod:
http://community.battlefront.com/topic/118103-force-specific-backgrounds/
Or if you could do it it would be great, I just love how the filter on the photos goes with the game.

Very nice colleciton of photos!
Cheers!

Thank you Blimey!

Love the music and the screen!! not so much a fan of the voice over though. Any chance you can tell me what song you used so I can just use that as my background? cheers!

Sneaking up to withing 10 metres of a Sherman on the other side of the hedgerow with an anti-tank team wielding their Faust.
Soldier aims, fires aaaaaaaaaaand the projecticle crashes into the actual hedgerow they are in, prompting the sherman to swing its turret and well...rest is history...

ive only played a mission or two, but you can deffinatelly feel the difference between MG and Infantry exchanges, feels much more natural and fluid now.

Merry Christmas people! Feliz Navidad!!

Merry Christmas to you all too, and thanks to take your time to post a thank you from time to time...I really appreciate it.
For those interested: first, Sherman V, next Sexton II. Then a Pak or 2, then , some LONG rest. I' ll let you enjoy a supermodded CMBN before I come back, unless Battlefront comes with an Eastern Module, in that case, everything could change in my mind,..
Feliz Navidad y prospero Año Nuevo Compañero!! Gracias por todo!

The problem with stacking up before entering a building is just I dont think it works with the current way pixeltruppen shoot out of buildings. Aslong as there are windows along an entire wall of a building the guys inside can shoot anything near them. Even shooting downstairs and upstairs several storries. The guys stacking cannot take cover inbetween windows or beside a door.
