  1. Yes, I have read your messages. Don't give up on me yet. I'll figure it out.
  2. I don't have as much experience as many on this forum, but I am willing to help. How can I be of assistance?
  3. Most of the files are converted. I am concerned that there maybe some missing files as found when the Char B1 bis was moved to TOW2 Afrika. Did you use the tool supplied by Oberleutnant?
  4. I like where this is going! This should also make it easier to bring these weapons forward into TOW3 WWII.
  5. The R35 shows up in the encylopedia with the description but no graphical image or model. Where is that image file? It should be possible to find it by experimenting with the Char B1.
  6. The problem was found. The files in the 3dobj/digits directory were left out. Now I'm wondering how much can be learned from the Char B1 to create a Renault R35.
  7. My first attempt is to move the Char B1 from the Caen mod into Afrika. I figured that would be easier. On my first attempt, the Encyclopedia would crash. The Encyclopedia runs correctly on the second attempt, but the Char B1 model is not visible. Still some work to be done.
  8. Is it possible to add new countries, e.g., Germany, France, and Poland?
  9. I have the balance mod, but did not know about the east wind mod. Thanks for the info.
  10. My original plan was for Afrika, but Caen would make more sense. I am learning how to transfer objects and models into the game. Basically the same as what Tartari is doing to TOW3 WWII. I mostly want to put more into TOW2, but extracting some items helps me to understand the structure. My first task is to pull some items out of TOW to move into TOW2.
  11. Well done! What are you using as the file list for TOW2? I am still trying to get the SFSExtractor to work. It was easy on TOW. For some reason TOW2 is being more difficult.
  12. Yes, it would be nice to have this vehicle and a few others in the game. At this point, one of us will have to make it.
  13. Hope the project is going well. I have been putting some thought into how you are modifying the vehicle files to work in TOW3. Is it just a matter of updating data files to match TOW3? Do the models also have to be modified?
  14. Very interesting reading. Thanks for sharing!
  15. For me that would make the purchase of TOW3 worth while. Is there anything I can do to help support this effort? Map making is as far as have gotten in modding. It would be great to have all of the units and vehicles from TOW and TOW2 combined.
  16. I had the problem with the "AutoUpdate.exe" file also. Even restarting with the "run as administrator" selected. I renamed the old AutoUpdate.exe file and it worked.
  17. I noticed that also. Probably because the Ferdinand didn't have that much of an impact on the battle. Maybe they will show up at a later date in a patch or addon. It is interesting to figure out infantry strategies for combating tanks. In the demo, a lone infantryman took out a Panther that got too close to the trench.
  18. I agree! The demo looks really good. Now if I can improve my ability to play the game.
  19. I would like the ability to import objects from TOW into TOW2. Maybe create some Vichy French and some of the German and British equipment.
  20. I wouldn't be surprised if that is how it is treated; even though, that was not actually the case with the M3 tanks. There is also a bow machine gunner in the crew. Could he be one of the gunners?
  21. I've been trying to figure out how the crew abilities works with the Lee tank. Does a good gunner affect the function of both the 37mm and 75mm guns? There must be a compromise of some type for this tank. Is it also the same for the gunner?
  22. This map seems to be setup for a right flanking maneuver. I used a similar tactic to those mentioned previously. One scouting squad and 3 tanks spaced out to cover the area. Took out the 2 French tanks that are setup to out flank you if not discovered. Then took out the reverse slope gun positions one at a time from right to left. The French R35 tank on the left flank came across and tried to draw my tanks into the gun positions. Most of my tank losses resulted from the tanks acting on their own initiative.
