  1. Good business plan. Thanks for the information Steve.
  2. I agree Erwin. Xnt news re: SF2 & "Black Sea". Plenty of good suggestions here and in the CMBN "New features/feature ideas for CM for the next few years thread". I have been too busy to carefully review and list the knowledge nuggets. I am sure BF has it all under control but having a concise "Wish List" would a nice reference. Might take me till the Fall to get that done but I will try be fore the "Black Sea" parts
  3. Thanks CrackSabbath, ... Shock Force 2 will follow Black Sea... Arnhem, Bagration, and Black Sea (yeah, that's a Modern bone) are all very far along their respective development cycles...... All tasty BF bones from Steve. Wonder if the NSA has any more details
  4. RT - "2834m x 1520m map of actual terrain in the Zumbelay area..." Sounds great Combatintman. Thank you. Hope to get some free time to try it soon and will let you know how it plays.
  5. Thanks snake eye. Will use your advice in my next attempt. Got really busy with work but hope to raid Daraya Tanks with soon. Waclaw HQS mod works well. His tip on getting old CMSF sound mods converted to work on Mac CMSF Bundle worked too!
  6. Waclaw, I did not know CMSF Mac "only ambient sounds in stereo." Used iTunes conversion on "Mord's Vocal Mayhem Mod BASE" files. Converted old voice mod to 48,000 kHz,16-bit, but MONO this time and it worked in Mac CMSF! Conversion worked on Mord's US AFV Radio Chatter as well. Next up Mord_& George_MCs_Cuss_Mod_Brits. Thanks again.
  7. Surprising result. I got old Mord voice files playing in slow motion! Used iTunes conversion on "Mord's Vocal Mayhem Mod BASE" files. convert old voice mods to 48,000 kHz,16-bit, Stereo. Put ZZZ in front of sound folder inside Z folder. Wonder what is up with that?
  8. I loaded up The complete Eurofacation of CMSF with the recently released final file. If you have not tried this mod it will surprise you how different the CMSF world looks in Euroscape theater. The striking thing to me was loading a scenario designed for desert / sandy and seeing temperate! The complete Eurofacation of CMSF http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=106745
  9. Daraya Tank Raid H2H would be over my head Schmoly War since Sir George's setup and the AI slapped me around already. Good advice SelfLoadingRifle. Never thought of using the T72 gun for knocking down walls! George, If I get a chance to play in the "Country Estate" ... I ain't got no neighbors so I can make the compound shake just like Daraya Thanks,
  10. Tried a small test using the iTune conversion but no luck yet. Will give a more concerted try as time allows. Enjoying your HQSounds for CMSF. Thanks Waclaw.
  11. I will have to try Daraya Tank Raid again. I already ...got my ass handed to me before a few times but with Waclaw's new HQS CMSF Mac sound mod the hornets will sounds will enhance the sting in the tail
  12. Thanks dpabrams, Tom Konczal, John Osborne and the venerable Mord. The Canadian Dealership looks great. Your entire Euroscape theater just makes me wonder what CMSF-2 is going to look like. Till then the Euroscape theater you created is a really fine mod of what could be on the horizon. You made Sergeant Preston proud
  13. Thanks waclaw! Your MAC HQS for CMSF sound great! Popped the headphones on and wow! Cranked up the Logitech Z-5500-5.1 surround speakers and the dog ran downstairs and under the sofa! Lends a much appreciated freshness and presence to CMSF. Can you recommended application for OS X 10.8.4 to convert old voice mods from 44,1 KHz vs. 48,0 KHz sample rate? I'd like to try my hand at converting some old CMSF voice mods to Mac compatible. Thanks,
  14. Thanks waclaw. Your sound mod does stick the CMSF player more in the intensity. I am playing on a Mac. Sounds are great to me but I have not compared all your mod sounds to the stock sounds. Any sampling issues 44,1 KHz vs. 48,0 KHz sample rate re:fully Mac compatible anyone has recognized?
  15. Remain resolute in this grapple. Zero Tigers will fall. Never give up Bill!
  16. Some great suggestions here. I am working on the CM- Shock Force 2 Wish List and would like to incorporate some of these veteran player ideas into the new improved CM- Shock Force 2. Is anyone keeping a running list of the requests?
  17. Plenty of good suggestions since I was last here. Thanks. I did notice the CMBN "New features/feature ideas for CM for the next few years thread" has some great suggestions as well. I will try and cull the CMSF-2 & CMBN knowledge nuggets and list items we "demand" for CMSF-2.
  18. 10/15/12 "....working up a complete transition of CMSF into a European looking mod. There is a ton of work to do...." 07/07/13 "Well this is the last of it." I suspect the ton of work (a complete transition of CMSF into a Europe) would take a while to complete. dpabrams, Thank You. I do appreciate your 9 month effort to bring CMSF-1 to Europe.
  19. Which explains your Forum name:D Buzz = Drone as well This series will be really fantastic. Enjoy the ride. Just so you guys know, Jon is also doing one of the campaigns for the Market Garden module. I suspected such. Present & Ready for class.
  20. "This series of posts uses the editor in CMBN: Market Garden v2.10, which means you might be getting a sneak peak at some of the new things in that module!" Please press forward JonS. Should be interesting. Thanks, *definitely read George McEwan’s Scenario Design Manual. George clearly explains how to use the various parts of the editor to create a scenario.* I have read Sir George's Scenario Design Manual. He does an excellent explanation and designs. I guess practice makes perfect? I am with sbruke "Skip it and go straight to the Cannabis.":D
  21. From Moon.... 06-22-2012 A new CMSF2 ... maybe on a New Mac Pro:D That will work! The Road Ahead Combat Mission fans have a lot to look forward to in the next year as the CMx2 game engine continues to produce games at an every faster pace. At the moment we have three games in active development and more planned. While we aren't in a position to make detailed announcements right now, we can tell you what the three are about (in no particular order): 1. CM: Battle for Normandy Module 2. This Module picks up where CM:BN and Commonwealth left off... with the September push out of France to the German border. The content centers around Operation Market Garden, though it covers more ground than just that. The game includes a number of new vehicles, formations, and new terrain models/textures. Adding new terrain, a first for any Module so far, ensures that you feel like you're fighting near Germany and not still back at the beacheads. 2. CM: Eastern Front 1. The first of four Eastern Front "families" starts with Operation Bagration (June 1944) and eventually covers through to the end of the war (May 1945). For many tactical warfare enthusiasts, this period is considered the most tactically interesting since both sides were at their peak of their military technology, organization, and experience. The scope and scale of the combat offers plenty of subject matter to explore. 3. CM: Shock Force 2. Our return to modern warfare is long overdue! Given how close Shock Force 1 was at predicting a conventional conflict in Syria, we're a little nervous about choosing a topic this time around. Especially because we've chosen to simulate a full spectrum conventional conflict between NATO and Russia in the Ukraine. This gives players a rich tactical environment to explore with the most advanced militaries the world has ever seen. Having said that, we hope the politicians aren't insane enough to try it for real. Even thought this is great stuff for a game, it's the last thing this world needs in real life. We have more games planned for 2013, however we are making no formal announcements at this time. These three mini-announcements should be enough to keep you busy for a while.
  22. It seems a return to Modern Warfare ..."a full spectrum conventional conflict between NATO and Russia in the Ukraine...." offers several game options beyond Syria vs. NATO Round 2. I do not expect BF will do a reboot of CMSF Round 2 but it would be intriguing to compare and contrast the differences in CMSF-1 vs. 2.
  23. "...the fact that BF predicted conflict in Syria, what do they know about the Ukraine that we don't?" Ask the NSA... as they have the "PRISIM" Yes... CMSF may have been a long range business decision based on real world. CMSF-2 .. where ever it ends up.... will be interesting and a return to Modern Warfare.
