  1. I searched everywhere and only found some partial information pertaining to a bitmap list for cmbb. Does anyone have any kind of list? I would appreciate it.

I would like a complete list but if anyone can tell me where the bitmap for the unit bases or for AFV or tank rounds are. I scoured the bitmap folder many times over and just cannot seem to see it. Someone please tell me that I am not blind and that one does not exist in this folder.

  2. How does this affect points? Is it better (point-wise) to ride out the game turns (if only a few remain or you are in O.T.) or does it not matter if you just surrender at that point.

My point in case is: My PBEM opponent is taking his objective as of the 5th turn in O.T.. I do not have the defensive forces to stop him and am considering a surrender (to save us both the hassle of dragging the battle out). This is a tourney game and based on points. Would it be better for me (point wise) to drag this out and hope the game ends with still a couple of my forces in the objective zone? Or will the same points get rewarded regardless of my remaining forces in the objective zone.

  3. Lots of good information in these posts about delievery times on artillery but I would like to see some on accuracy. I did pick up some information from this post

The Syrian FO was crack like every one else, so my theory about green FOs must go with Syrian commandos is worthless. Perhaps in some scenarios the engine attempts to "balance" things, in part, with the quality of the attached FO.

Anyway, this FO had no GPS. I called in a single barrage, maximum intensity and duration, area strike over a circle with a 75 - 80 meter radius, fitting nicely over Americans were bogged down trying to dig the commandos out of a town. The FO was over a kilometer away, and was not only no surpressed, he was sitting on the side of a hill in the open.

The strike arrived almost exactly in four minutes, it took three registration rounds. And the fires came down about 300 meters from the desired impact area; not a single American was hit.

I am requesting this because I am involved in 2 Red vs. Red pbem games right now (my first two I confess) and I ordered artillery (120mm i believe) from my FO's. In the first game my FO was "green" and all of his rounds (spotting included) hit in the same location which was about 300-400 km from the target location (area fire- 30km). He was spotting the whole time without sustaining any close incoming fire. It was not an emergency call and he did not lose LOS the whole time. I accepted this as him being "green" and shrugged it off.

My second game I had an "elite" FO perched on a rooftop with LOS to a 30 km long line target area. No incoming fire and LOS never lost. Target was only about 300km away. Learning from my first game I seen the spotting round (only one) was about 500km further away from my target area. I adjusted the fire mission hoping that it would be adjusted. The mission did not get adjusted and all rounds landed on the area I stated above - about 500km further away from the target than wanted.

I understand that every spotter in every game is not going to be dead on with all fire missions. But two in a row in a pbem really frustrated me. I guess my question is should I expect this on the majority of my games using the Syrian forces or is this a stroke of bad luck with 2 misfires back to back. I just want to know how much effort I should put into relying on artillery when playing the Red side. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

  4. Can anyone elaborate on this topic and list the hierachy of fatigue levels? And what effects they have on commands? (ex. if exhausted your cannot FAST, HUNT, or ....)

Also, does anyone else think the fatigue associated with the SLOW command needs looked at? I just dont get how my two man AT crew can FAST and SLOW over the same distance and be exhausted in both situations. I would think crawling at a slow pace might tire you but I highly doubt you would be exhausted like sprinting.

  5. Thanks Roglea. I can now understand what I am looking at. I used google translator to translate the mission briefings so I also know what my objectives are.

Cool. There is an option to turn on blood!!!

  6. This is related to this post somewhat. If I have 3 or 4 AT teams (Syrian) moving up a hill / bank with enemy armor on the side that I want to ambush what is the best way to do this? Do I quick move up to the berm of the hill (out of site of the armor) and then use the 'SNEAK' or do I use the 'HUNT' command to approach the armor and get off a shot before they blast me? Any info is appreciated.

  7. I played through the first two core campaign missions and had very low casualties or wounded. I know that this is a result of me pounding the piss out any building in my way that I suspect is housing the enemy. I read through this thread and noticed some 'gamey' talk on using the target order when assaulting floor by floor. Well what about using it as I described above?

Can someone with knowledge about US ROE shed some light on exactly how forces would go about attacking an enemy position? It just does not seem right unleashing all my firepower on "suspected" enemy buildings before I approach them. To be more true to real life would I only fire upon buildings that have confirmed enemy contacts?

CNN already does a good job at bashing our country on the wars. If they reported what I did in the first two missions - holy @#$#!

I did find these two links in case anyone is interested:

  8. are you talkin turn based like combat mission? You make your commands and then get up from the computer and let your buddy sit down and make his commands. If this is what you are talking about, then no it does not.

  9. this is probably a moot point just for you. I can download the file just fine. I will look into putting it up on the REPOSITORY. This will eliminate all the problems.

    edit:

Look to the Repository if you need it. I uploaded. Hope it works for you.

  10. I dont read russian but i am not sure where you guys are getting this spyware install thing from. If you follow the instructs that I posted you will just download the file. Extract the file and all that is in it is the files you need for the balance mod. There is no .exe file for spyware included????

This is what will install if you do not check the box as I instructed above. So just uncheck and you are golden.
