  1. I hope they will never make it. Already very much micromanaging possible and with formations it would become even more.

One of the attractions of CM is, that the player does NOT always has available what he would need and he has to cope with the shortcomings.

i hope for a tac ai which chooses the right formation on its own

  2. Just wondering..didn't the German airborne troops where a different type of helmet to standard German troops?

if you go to the gustav line homepage you can see falschirmjäger with the iconic fj helmet in the background. I don't know why they wear the standard helmet in the overview screenshot.

  3. You could also reduce scenario length and put the guns as reinforcements which will never arrive in the same location as the guns. the guns will share ammunition even if they are not there. so if you want that the guns arrive later you have to put them in a different location otherwise they will probably have no more ammunition when they span.

1944AUG17 1700 - Today at about 0800 British planes attacked and destroyed a small German convoy retreating from Falaise towards Lisieux. Aerial Photographs of the convoy showed that the units belonged to the Division Hitlerjugend. Later we got intel from the Maquis that a high ranking officer was in the convoy. There is evidence that this officer could be SS-Oberführer Kurt Meyer the Commander of the Division Hitlerjugend. The Maquis also reported that the survivors are hiding out in an orchard close to the attacked convoy. We suspect that they will stay there until nightfall and the try to reach the German lines.

Kurt Meyer is responsible for the shooting of Canadian prisoners, so high command appointed our Battalion to capture him.

B Company will lead the attack. C Company will secure our route of retreat and D Company is held in reserve.

    Lieutenant Colonel Bradbrooke

Commander of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion

    Briefing for B Company:

1944AUG17 2000 - It took us longer than expected to reach this area. Locals told us that about a platoon sized German force is hiding in this area. Although scattered German troops on the retreat could show up. Our 3rd Platoon will bypass the area on the east to stop any Germans who want to flee in this direction. A Company supports us with a Machine Gun section. Unfortunately the truck with A Company's mortar-teams hit a mine and was completely destroyed.

Speed is very important. Kurt Meyer must not escape! The mission will terminate at 2200.

    Good luck!

so if you want to play just reply or send me a pm

and it would be awesome if someone could proofread the briefing!
