  1. Hi guys, I stumbled on this one in the library; http://www.amazon.com/War-Before-Civilization-Peaceful-Savage/dp/0195119126 It starts of with some philosophy of science and continues to sketch an impressive picture of motivation and means of war in man's earliest stage. Couldn't keep this one to myself!
  2. Might it be that one's supposed to let the ammobearers acquire the shells from the trucks?
  3. Antony Beevor's D-Day The Battle for Normandy.
  4. Time to see if this download link woke up yet
  5. "the file(s) you ordered are ready for your download." read my mail. So when? is all I wanna know now.
  6. well, The CC unitselectioninterfaceresults are achievable by using the control and number keys. It´s a little more effort but also gives you a lot more freedom. More burning things are always welcome. Why not have burnng buildings as well. What I´d like to see the most though, is the battlefield after the battle, preferably with killinfo. Or even better, soldiers that go prone and stay prone.
  7. In the briefing for this mission, there's a map that shows two trenches next to each other and two "attackarrows". Ingame there is a trench to my right but I can't occupy his, not only do I not have the troops; it also hasn't got the checkerboardpattern. I was wondering; Coul it be that something has gone wrong and that it was originally the plan to have the two waves attacking two trenches simoultaniously? I sure hope so. Other options wouldn't be too good for my ego....
  8. I think ToW will first secretly appear on the productslist on the BFsite...
  9. 1C started out way too ambitious with this title. As a result hey seem to have dropped a lot of features in the proces. This is good news because that means that there's a lot on the shelf for future expansions or sequals. I'm pleased this is going to happen in cooperation with Battlefront. The engine is old though and future releases may have a different one which would make it possible to have dynamic terrain, tactical smoke and entering buildings. Now just let us give these guys our cash and provide them with the means to make all this happen. This game is still very promessing to me and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Or to start wearing that black poloshirt with the battlefrontlogo at the back and the ToW logo on the breastpocket. (Size M for me please).
  10. Moon, Put me down for a black poloshirt with the battlefront.com-logo on the back and the ToW -logo on the brestpocket. Size M. Thanx
  11. I keep getting this Random Cart ID error, should I try harder or stop trying now and try later? In case it's the latter, when should I try again?

  14. Hey Brit, I recon there will still be FOW so you will only able to see the enemy positions previously discovered by your troops. That's not so bad right?

    TOW Demo?

Moon, could you please repeat that date. For some reason I don't quite seem to remember when the release was planned...
  16. Since the troops got the impression that the reds are acting against their own interest in throwing away their glorious future in the agricultural enterprises of the Reich our intention is now to exterminate them all! Just as the helmets are fastened, the weapons are cocked and warm hugs are exchanged to wish eachother luck on the battlefield another enemy is suddenly upon us. The scies tear open, the earth raises itself in fountains and the trees spontaniously burst into splinters. This is not the human enemy we know we have the edge on, these are all the elements turning against our forces and make the foxholes swing back and forth like ships in a storm. Destined as we are to face epic strugles, the men brace themselfs for the demons unleashed by the underworld only finding comfort in the knowlodge that our enemy will be instantly wiped away by this inferno...
  17. I'd suggest checking out Anthony Beevor's "The battle for Spain". I've just purchased it together with some other books and haven't read it yet but my experience with Beevor is that he puts things in a wide context. I'm sure German foreign policy is included here. The biography will help you on your way with the period after 1939.
  18. I do have the private photo-albums of Iron Will from the good ole days when Ernst Rohm was still alive and kicking. Their nature makes me a bit reluctant to post them however.
  19. Thanks for providing my new desktop, was getting tired of the ppsh slinging gal!
  20. After the barbarian hordes from the east levelled a tactically utter insignificant structure in their alchohol inflicted blind rage, a fine german soldier, proud to be given the honor of operating such a superior piece of equipment as the shiny XXXX which was entrusted to his gentle care, fired with willfull determination on a bundle of rags scrounging through some woods. The muscleflash lit up, reflecting on the regular and amazingly white teeth. This made the straight lines which made out his face stand out even better as he reflected over the loving hands back home who, enriched by endless waves of strife for perfection produced not only this outstanding weapon and ammunition but also his Iron Will which he could feel glowing inside.
  21. While discussing our future agricultural enterprises in the soon to be pacified bolshevik territories a subtle doubt grows in our mind. Shouls we really utilise our shiny, spotless guns against the sorry bands of bewildered patrols who seem convinced by industrial alchohol that their zigzag stumbling represents anything worthy of being called an attack ? Or should we just wait untill they fall down by themselves in delerious nightmares and tenderly escort them to the workcamps where they'll be gratefully accepting their new futures in sowing and harvesting?
