  1. another note by now, i do not know if it is not intended feature but i miss some port, north of paris between brest at west and antwerp east that can support english troops send to france, anyway is a minor note, the scenario is great anyway, best regards, alarick.
  2. greetings, i are testing the mod and scenario with some minor changes, are on january 1940, all works almost perfect and do not see even a single script error, i think this mod is a must have for any fan of world war and so for any strategic command player, the work with the maps is great and loops too seem all working, will be a big bunch of work to implement the AI scripts but anyway, AI opponent on these big maps allways and in each game available play much poor than a human opponent, i will give in cmmods score when finish my playtest, so far i think it deserves a solid 5/5, only issue... the USS colorado, based on seattle starts in port but cannot leave it, i prefer upgradeable minors but this is only my point of view, thanks and thumbs up for nupremal for this awesome scenario!!!, with best regards, alarick.
  3. greetings, just to give my point of view, the better option and most advanced rules with extra air-naval settings is pacific theater and so, the pacific campaign is the largest map, added to it, you have available on the scenario bank, at http://www.cmmods.com/ a global war conflict for pacific theater done by nupremal, one of the best modders around, i still not have pacific theater but have all others game and his expansions packs, each have some very interesting scenarios and hipotethical (?) campaigns, but as said, the game engine that most advantage of the game development performance have is pacific theater, for me, is only matter of time that i go with some of my game's budget for it, may be today or tomorrow, just my point of view, as i like the engine at his more upgraded incarnation and will love the global war scenario, with best regards, alarick.

  6. greetings, Man, your mod as seen in the scenario preview in cmmods looks very promising, just want to know if by the moment there are some minor bugs or there are gamebreakers, beacause i are thinking on buying pacific theater these days with my game's budget and are very interested in your scenario, by the way, great work, with adjustments just can become better, i think is the best scenario available for pacific theater, with best regards, alarick.

  8. greetings, what you say makes sense, well, i played for some years wargames, tabletop/bookcase and computer wargames, World in Flames boardgame and some others scenarios i have seen trough time makes the map as you are trying, will be a lot of work and i did hope the better for that scenario you are working on, to find the right balance in the map scale and the right balance on the nations units build allowance is too a hard endeavor, you post show that you are dedicated to it deeply, i have not advice to say by now to it, find just right as you explain it, hope the best for your scenario and mod, with best regards, alarick.

Nupremal, best regards, i have seen in your mod that you named the german air wings after first world war german pilots, i are on my way to play the mod, looks great, only to make such a map deserves a score of 4 to 5, please excuse to be offtopic, as i quoted you and make here post to claim your interest, the main purpose of my post is about i miss one of the most relevant german pilots, in fact, manfred von richtofen flight mentor, oswald boelcke, maybe or may not you want to add boelcke in the mod, i send yoy a page in wikipedia that says a little about oswald boelcke, i think, not sure however that the american pilot that shoot down the red baron was rickenbaker, or canadian, as said, not sure, also not sure about the correct spelling of his name, rickenbaker, i think, so, here goes the link about boelcke, best regards and best luck with your scenario, great work, for sure i will play it when i find the time available, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oswald_Boelcke best regards, alarick.
  10. well, i want some help now, i updated my main european theater scenario just adding to my early war start and order of battle and changes on combat target units' stats the scripts by Cantona, Mattse and the good-outstanding Thrawn European Theater map, other pojects have been lifting away from playtest, i will on it now or tomorrow to see if the scripts work, the question is, given the scripting is hard work by the others modders to make an early upload for playtest, upload when playtested or do not upload it, i want to share my own version, i think indeed all we want to have the "perfect" scenario, and for me it is the given version i now have, the worse issue is that royal navy has to cross all south map trough "africa" without the loop arrows, naval units are given higher values for this issue, from 10 to 15, mediterranean is the most dangerous for british, as former Spain is now featured as Japan, with the main japanese elite ships, if british choose to go to an early mediterranean sea campaign against japan and italy the german kriegsmarine will be allowed to raid on england maybe before russia and usa enters the war, they start at 30% activation and with diplomacy chits (already placed on both) can enter the war early, as on purpose, i are one step to make upload public, so, want if it can disturb to original scripting workers, being Cantona & Mattse, i think if the script will cause trouble, the editor (by the way now great-ly enhanced i must say), the editor will have given me the errors, so i think it is bug free, about playing against AI opponent, the main issue will be the enhanced ships units movement, upgraded to 15 will go for more lenght AI turns and can take some time, mainly it is designed to Player vs Player purposes as there are huge number of troops for all major nations and versus the AI, a human player can take advantage of it, well, this is all for now, thanks for any and all advice, i will be around, with best regards, alarick.
  11. if you import data that have some changes in nations distribution the data tha is import-ed will be making to compatible, this can change the major nations if the import data have different major nations distribution that these in your modded campaign, it only is a possibility, but can be the failure on it, best regards, alarick.
  12. by road you cannot make strategic movement of land troops, resources not connected by rail to the capitol city do not send his resources to the mmp income, as far as i know there are not resource movement in the game, hope it helps a bit at least, best regards, alarick.
  13. greetings, well, all working fine and without gamebreakers for my game on your scenario, it is a previous version but works very well, i play until germany colapse, to middle 1943, i have done some changes to the scenario but was wanting just to say that works perfectly, the feature that i like most is the colonies around the map, aside is hard, but realistic to menace them with the axis thanks for the good scenario, with best regards, alarick.

  15. greetings, good choice to make them optional, i am middle of 41, all events work fine, just an small issue, italian corps cannot go amphibious in any space, germans can, i do not know if it is intended so, and the other issue is too minor, kiel to copenhagen rail is not working, but this small bug comes from the very begining of this map, i think is all about the land+sea hex that do not allow rail, balance is excellent, i make some changes but is a good signal that the mmp balance is working fine, and love the new industrial area icon, a good adding to the bmp files, good work, with best regards, alarick.
  16. greetings, played first game session for two hours, have changed some things but i think firmly that them will not mess up event scripts, untill march 40 all is going very well, great work with the map, indeed, all sur american positions and african minor positions can lead to some fight for them and it is as some king of mini pacific battle/war, now with my thinkings... 1- paris rail connection is missing so, if mmp collect is restricted paris will not give to france any resurce, by now is the only issue i have found. optional... 1-upgradeable minors, minor nations are worthless troops when the major nations achieve some research hits, well, is historical but i did think that minors maybe for better playability can be upgradeable. 2- german high command... you have included the senior officer of the ss, paul hausser, but there are some that seems missing, i do not know if they will come by scripts however. 2.1- in the battle of the bulge the commander of the sixth panzer armee is dietrich, i think that in a corps scale level game will be a good option to have two ss commanders, 2.2- in operation barbarossa (june 41) there are four panzer groups with around two panzer corps each of them, you have included one of these four commanders, he is Kleist, but the other three are missing, take it as optional if at last move the scenario to corps level... these are... guderian, hoepner and hoth, his performance is very good, at least until around 1942 when the german army reorganize for case blue operation, the second summer offensive on russia, hope it helps somewhat, will post more when i play more on the scenario but overall is very well balanced, i like it much, thanks for make it available, with best regards, alarick.
  17. greetings, well, first of all i want to give a great thanks you for select the european theater map and do all (without doubt) hard work to place the events, hope the nuclear bomb is only optional, much games implement it anyway, i am going to give a try to your campaign and will come with the feedback as i have an empty slot for a play still in august, usually i change much things under my own concept of perfection before playing a scenario but these can take on some bugs, so, i will play unmodded and give feedback if it can be of help, thanks again for the good-outstanding scenario, and with best regards, alarick.

  20. i too have buy it, so i can give a trick, i propose to make it optional but not removed once the game reach pbem and/or tcp/ip play, hit on f1 on game, you have access to a screen that can change political influence points and production points, so too, control between human or AI opponent, just starting to play it, i feel same, is like war in europe by the old SPI boardgame comany, but a thing i are struggling about is that game gives three main alliances, i am not sure if "comintern" (russia plus minors) can go to war against the "western alliance", end game victory conditions are flexible, in the fact that if western alliance or comitern is surrendered to axis powers the game ends in a draw between axis and the "surviving" alliance not conquered, about naval combat is to some point abstract and naval battles are almost automatic, i prefer naval style of strategic command, but a good thing about it, maybe the only is that it is very, much very difficult to make a succesfull sealion and conquer united kingdom, i will post on matrix forums when i confirm about the capability of an open three sided war, i enjoy both, strategic command and this game, obviously sc2 is supperior, artillery, special forces and the powerfull scenario editor that this new game missed, although it is moddable, the void about pbem and tcp/ip i think may discourage some potential players, only time can tell if there will be a patch that add pbem, etc, just my own oppinion, with best regards, alarick.
  21. thanks for the encourageous words of morale, i are bad on scripts, allways go for a matematic perfect production and order of battle scenario setup, but without scripts maybe scenarios only work fine on multiplayer, i like too for have available the order of battle at 1939, at last nowadays i are making some adjustment on my scenarios and making less turns, 20 days alternate turns with 20 days normalized production, but still not have replaced the old scenarios as i have not still time to playtest them, last modded third reich variant is only 59 turns, is tough for the axis but they have all forces from begining and with 59 turns, russia and USA will enter on time to disallow an allied disaster, on russia or UK, or, at least, make a good challenge when d-day, and the other scripts come on effect, best regards, alarick.
  22. greetings, great work, indeed, i load 1.1 in the editor, i see that there are by you active loop events (better that my own way of clear some way from suez to west-africa-coast) but the loop arrows are missing, at least it seems, scripts are the most hard work to do with these scenarios, a full European Theater scenario with full scripts in my humble oppinion will be the best, with kind regards, alarick.

  24. greetings, this is set from editor, in campaign tab (select Advanced Button), you can select to set out for research, diplomacy and production, only can be changed from here, however, allowing research is not planned and can unbalance the scenario, you can change the name of the scenario so you still have both version, with and without research allowed, hope it helps, best regards, alarick.
  25. greetings, Retributar, you are right, front-line airfields are very important but well defended, i when make a scenario give United Kingdom Royal Air Force spitfire advantage from the begining and some enhancement to UK carrier groups, it does the job, but a realistic simulation should have all south UK coast with fortifications, and we can not left out the good UK radar-stations-net trough all the "combat zone", so, we can make all south UK coast with fortifications, add some anti aircraft units and antiaircraft radar on these fortifications, then, place over there the air fleets of the RAF, all this combined will be painfull for the germans and it is realistic, i think, with best regards, alarick.
