  1. best greetings, i guess is a completely different campaign for the SC world war I engine, i want to mean that the stock campaigns are for world war I, there are two mods on the repository, one for world war 2, full war (with pacific theater) and another for european theater, world war 2, the add-on campaign will be about world war 2 too, but with the scripts for the scenario from the development team, that allways are the better/best in all subjects/scenarios/themes, all it making i think, the Strategic Command World War I game/engine the best of the series and perfect choice for gamers that like world war I or World War 2 period, scenarios, and games, best regards and have good gaming, Alarick.
  2. yes, it helps, perfect information and advice about what i was asking for, thanks for the repply, and the workaround, and yes, i almost give some extra National Morale to all the nations from start, i was also asking about it for modders to know it, as is an added variable to each scenario made in, best of luck with the settings on the upcoming campaign and have my best regards, the thing i like the most from official scenarios is the very good work with the scripts that the development team do, best regards, Alarick.
  3. best greetings, i just want to ask about if national morale is hard-coded, in example, if a scenario or mod dont have any National Morale Scripts, the units of each nation will suffer from a reduced from start NM?, i just want to know how that good feature works and how i have to adress it on my possible mods, thanks in advance for any and all advice/info, with best regards, Alarick.
  4. thanks for the info and advice, i found it better this way, i think we still have the surrender fixed just when a % of the units are still alive, also, national morale, whatever it hits units' morale will still be a determinant factor in the game. i prefer the total conquest setting for a world war 2 scenario, i want to mean, thanks again for the info and the fast repply and with best regards, Alarick.
  5. best greetings, thanks you and the development team, in advance, of course, for make the perfect scenario for culminate, to date, the already good outstanding Strategic Command Series, , just two things make me to worry, well, first, national morale or strategic will of russia, being a really big nation in territory and what damage will/may do the germans by turn to russia national morale, reaching near the leningrad-moscow-rostov axis of front (will be difficult to balance for all world war 2 games i can remember), and the d-day, once france is knock out, the AI opponent will have a difficult time returning to the main continent (this also can be said too about any and all world war 2 games with AI i can remember), again, not complaining on the game engine, is a problem related to any and all AI opponent/s in all world war 2 videogames, just was wanting to make a post to know how this is going to be adressed, in example a land loop from united states to britain and 3 land loops from britain to north france (may be too drastic or unrealistic), is just the AI, against a determined german defender, allways have a difficult time to coordinate a D-Day, of course thanks again for any and all advice/info and for the work on this add-on, the people from my region, spain, from [ punta de lanza ] forum/site are already "adviced" about this release, i dont need to make advice about it, for veterans of wargames and from veterans of my region is the new standard on world war 2 european theater, and some of they prefer a pure european theater of operations more than including the pacific theater, have my best regards, and best of luck in balance for the best the scenario, Alarick.
  6. best greetings, please excuse and i apologize is if not right to name other games, or about them, but i think, from an overall perspective, this will be the better european theater, turn based strategy game, with events, and scripts, potential mods, and all things all other european theater missed out, i mean, this game, aside being a very good first world war engine, also, may become the ultimate european theater game, almost all veterans may/will have his "dream" game [with edit tools] on world war 2 theater, thanks of course to all the team for all the work set on this add-on, also, i will dont worry to pay an extra 10 bucks for this, not little, but good outstanding gem, best regards, and best of luck with the nasty bugs (if there are some), Alarick. (any wargamer that played third reich on his bookcase/boardgame version, will like indeed, very much, this add-on, well, a game itself i guess is a better denomination) and i are being in truth, not biased towards the add-on.
  7. best greetings, you have 4x license each game, maybe Moon can say about purchasing, single, extra licenses, world war I engine have also a new system, you cannot un-license once one license is applyed, so, if you format the computer, the license will be gone, added, each 365 days there are a +1 license increase to the starting 4 available, hope it helps and with best regards, Alarick.
  8. greetings, thanks for the info and advice, i just finished now updating the scripts 1.1 with the 1.0 map, works near perfect, just lubljana should be a city (from town in 1.0) and one tile from hungary was giving an error until i change it to yugoslavia, again, thanks for the mod and best regards, Alarick.

  13. best greetings, please take care about the /script/AI/Purchase , one of the scripts for russia (Nation 8) is with tag for nation 4 (Polen) and is not working, making russia to purchase much less on 1939 to 1940, is all, not seen any other bug, and once you know bulgaria and maybe yugoslavia is biased to russia instead of western allies you may not attack them as axis until at war with russia, not major issues i guess, best of luck with the mod and have my best regards, Alarick.
  14. best greetings and thanks for the mod, Amadeus, take care that there are some bugs, i tryed it by two days, and find fine to talk about the bugs i have found, 1/ Frostress units... you cannot un-attach them from HeadQuarters units 2/ as Germany, you can declare war on bulgaria, but are not allowed to invade it, same for the baltic state that becomes active related to events, you cannot invade them, i think the bug is the fact these nations go under russia mandate, and so, if you are not at war with russia you cannot invade them. 3/ when i invade netherlands as Germany, one infantry retreats to a neutral Belgium space, then, you are not allowed to attack it. disclaimer... i are not sure if those are bugs related to the game engine and/or the mod of world war 2 by you, anyway, thanks for the work done on it, have my best regards, Alarick.
  15. ... best greetings, i have few time to post and i apologize in advance, for my bad english and if what i are about to say has been said before... 1 - to mitigate casualties effect on National Morale i think a way may be to set the NM loss directly on casualty differential, in example, attacker get 2 step losses, defender get 1 step loss, i just want to mean, that, instead of taking all 3 steps on NM drain, just hit attacker (in the example given), by one NM "factor" (2-1) this will make longer campaigns. 2 - to the development team, i just pledge about dont get rid from NM factor, i pledge to make it as a optional rule, as research, diplomacy, and all other rules/scripts. 3 - National Morale in fact is an important part of victory conditions, i just want to send the idea (if not given still), that you can make your game drive around NM, if not overall for the engine, that may be a drastic change, just as optional rule or just in some "campaign mirror" scenarios, in example, we can make a scenario based on victory conditions on capitals or objetives, may be great to make a scenario about draining enemy powers NM for determine victory. 3.2 - also, too it can be set as "open ended", each power or side score each turn or each fixed set of turns based on given NM standings, onwards, more freedom is at hand, you can set a fixed value in victory points per "NM round check" or in example each 10% loss, or the % loss directly added as victory points for the opponent. 4 - well, i are very pleased with the game engine, with both world war 2 mods and just will like this -Great- and -Devoted- engine go to multiplayer, in example, a) democratic regimes alliance / fascist regimes alliance / comunist regimes alliance (three sides war is not historical, i know, but is my personal favorite) two scenarios... europe / world ... not neutral countries. i seriously think it can make full advantage of the now given allowance of 8 major powers, i really will love a 3 vs 3 vs 2 Scenario Setting, so for world war 1 and also for world war 2. i just make this post to make me free of the pincer on my mind that this really awesome game engine have even more potential that by now it is allowed to show, obviously i dont are saying is bad, as that will be ridiculous by me, i just say how it may be even better, have my best regards, Alarick. -looking forward for the official world war 2 scenario with the dedicated scripts and thanks to Mr. Cater and all the Development team for all the hard word. regards.
  16. best regards, i think the support team, in the event we run out of e-licenses by re-format the pc, and asking to support, can re-activate some e-license if we provide some of the purchase data, so, is not that bad system, they said so much many times, when they have enough data to prove you are a customer, they will re-activate one e-license, i think/guess as many times as we may need, sure that it takes some time and is not an automatic procedure to re-activate the e-license, but well, i should say the Strategic Command Series games, for me, worth it, have best regards, Alaric.
  17. i think you get 4 licenses, but with the new system you cannot return any license to the server, too, you get one more license each 365 days, if you are to format some of the systems better dont waste a license key on it, otherwise, you can license 2 of 4 installs, i guess, if i understand the new license well, have my best regards, Alaric.
  18. best greetings, i just want to make a request for the scenario editor and the game itself that is around my mind allways with wargames, i dont know how it may work on Strategic Command but here i go, and please excuse if it is said before, i have too many things to do and sometimes i missed the forums for some time, "hard ruleset" main purpose... reward the player that success destroying enemy formations. 1- make a fixed order of battle with name given for each unit available in the unit build data from the scenario editor, for each nation, so, you still have the choice of recruit new historical units or rebuild previously destroyed units. 2- the scenario editor have to make available the ability to given a value on the reformation data -higher- than 100, here is the change and purpose of the feature request... when you rebuild a previously destroyed unit (his cadre) you have to pay 120% or 130% his former cost, so, it rewards the enemy that success destroying the unit. another way of aproach is to make the change in the cost of the first or two first strenght steps of an unit, this can be adressed too to national morale feature, in costs terms, for build and morale loss, i just want to mean, or can make my argument around it, that is a matter of fact that in real war units usually dont fight more than, at most, to 70% of own casualties (unit's steps 3 to 10) so it makes sense, obviosly i are taking off or away all balance issues that can arise but just was wanting to say about it, as i dont see about it before in the forums, also i will like to know what people think about this or what can be the design or balance issue/s or problem/s, thanks for read and have my best regards, Alaric.
  19. best greetings and regards, and you are right about the scripts, i confirmed in my previous playing session that russia, starting in 1915 is building his artillery with the -unit build- parameter i given, too seen some aircraft and the extra rail guns i allowed, so, it is a fact of truth to say the scripts are working better than ever, the only thing i missed is the assault infantry, (formerly marines in stock campaign) but is not a big issue, as russian cavalry is making a big challenge defeating my assault infantry (and collateral national morale damage), i really like how the british make his own war effort on france, and added to it, it is doing a big damage to my german army to "target" only france's troops to make them surrender, just if the united states, when active, make this level of activity on france they may defeat me bleeding my national morale, also, i should say that i see a very good wargame when i think in the capabilitites from/with the scenario editor, and, well, agreed completely with other forum members that this is one of the best wargames available, if the world war 2 campaign works so well, as i are concerned i just hope this game win some 2011 awards, from being so good and too an example of a very good wargame to others making his own, thanks to all the team to making the effort on this game, as i know to some degree, it should have been much hours of work to making the AI working so well, have my best regards, obviously, the mod is available for all, you only will make it better, if i make it public is to give ideas to modders, aside some of my making decisions can seem drastic, i really will like to see the assault infantry on the stock campaign/s, or mod/s, as an extra level of "attack effort", or too i may say, an option may be to make a decision event to each nation, to make these units and spend the resources to develop them, each army have his own doctrine on that, attaching heavy infantry weapons formations to larger units or making heavy battalions, armed with gas, flamethrowers and heavy machinegun or personnel anti-tank weapons, i just added them as i think them are very important in the battlefields of europe on both world wars, well, them are somehow as the special forces of the world war 2 engine, but maybe is a tough design decision with this game scale, and not really of vital relevance with the added freedom of the scenario editor, thanks for the great game and best regards, Alaric.
  20. thanks for this game, i really like how is implemented the national morale/strategic will setting and i really see the game is, first, better than previous, aside the previous games are great too, with the carrier and tanks rules and, second, for sure, the best video wargame i seen this year, i make the scenario for my own pleasure and i know that the changes i made may not be good for all players, but i was wanting to share the scenario anyway, the only thing i can make criticism is about the artificial intelligence wasting resources and making stockpiles of 9999 resources, well, usually this only happen on my scenarios for the strategic command series, what i mean is that, maybe, can be better to have a build script for the AI for soft build limits, that allow more units, and more number of units, in example, in my scenario's mod, the AI will not build assault infantry or tanks and this give the human player an advantage. i know, however, it can be difficult to make the code for such AI build up, and it can be off-set with the good outstanding scenario editor, working and changing the dates, making shorter to reach the later years of the war, and is somohow adressed with the difficulty setting, as, higher difficulty than default, with +1 or +2 AI experience bonus mean more casualties in attack and defense, and this time, this drain your national morale, (there are not more "free kills" against the AI) i are playing my mod and i are having a very good feeling about the new changes, so, thanks again for making this game on the market, as i, very seriously, are concerned that may be great for each and all wargamers that play, both, video-wargames And board wargames have my best regards, Alaric.
  21. best greetings, and thanks you for this good outstanding game, i think here are a "before" and an "after" about this game, i mean is the first time we see the national morale and/or strategic will to be implemented in a very good game, i are enjoying so much it, and make my first scenario mod, there will go the notes, no readme included, as i are concerned people care in the forums, hopefully, about my scenario mod... all research go off, the 1914 armies are the best for all the war, tanks/armored formations are available from start, so onwards for aircraft groups, added (former marines) the assault infantry corps, them become the standard of the elite troops later in the war, good against heavy trench or fortifications (but at a high casualties costs). notes on getting rid of research... well, is my standard for the engine, and not only this engine, the main reason is i want that when the artificial opponent purchased a unit it is fully upgraded from start, -i are at all not good in scripts- so, the scripts may become a limitation to artificial opponent, not purchasing assault corps or armor formations and the only way to re-balance this issue is the difficulty settings. all units have fixed values from start taking care of what upgrades may have been get in a game with research, and, for flavor, i keep the "standard" from history, -better german and russian land troops. -better united kingdom and united states aircraft and navy. extra notes... the scenario mod i have here is not about history, so, all that may/would make criticism about historical failures and/or unbalance just are right on it, for me, is about making a fun scenario and find the balance between playability and historical realism, the scenario is not playtested, i can no say it is at beta stage, maybe to say it is at playtest stage is the right understanding, so, be aware that unbalance can arise, but to playtest it will take for me some weeks and i really want to make it available as soon as possible, main purpose being, to give idea/s to others modders and to give some different scenario to play for people willing to play some different. i hope you get a fun time playing it and hope there are not game-break unbalance things on my scenario, it will be on the repository as soon as i can upload it, any and all feedback will be wellcome, thanks to make this great game to the development team and have my best regards, Alaric.
  22. is one of the best maps i have ever seen for a wargame, along with Big AL, both are the best mods out there, well, just give a thanks you, Nupremal for the hard work, and just want to say that if you play windowed at lesser resolution than the monitor, and 16 bit instead of 32 bit colour the map is playable, well, with 6 gb of ram and a 64 bit windows 7 op, and a 2,66 gb dual-core proccessor, but the lag on the units is minimal, just playable, thanks again and good luck with new projects, with best regards, alarick.

  24. greetings, i sorry that there are some problems, but it is a mighty endeavor this scenario, played until mid 1940 and start to work on my own version for play as i prefer to play world war 2, basically is as 1939 is 1942, make 2 heavy task forces from japanese and give better research, fixed to germans and troops experience, will be painfull to redoing all the work my friend but as said with such great scenario is easy that some problem arise, will try to play from begining to 1945/1946 and maybe can play togheter if you want, only issue is that i dislike fog of war at this level of play, SC is some kind of mixture between tactical and strategic theater, anyway these are the better games on the market, i do not know if you have the time or want to play the previous version but we can find some time, my email is marhault888@hotmail.com feel free to send me your answer and very good luck with the scenario, if you want to play my version i can send it to you, maybe we can set up to off the scripts that have problems, will be a pleasure to play togheter, my best regards, alarick.
