  1. hm, too bad, I know some Fernmelder from Sigmarigen, probably different era anyway Oh yes, trips to Stetten were always looked forward to. I bet you enjoyed yours too.
  2. Did you by any chance serve in Sigmaringen? I was in Immendingen for a while.
  3. He's a hero, there's a street and a school named after him in just about every city.
  4. Yea, I've already found someone who'll let me use his credit card, but PayPal would be much easier for me.
  5. I don't have a credit card I was under the impression that PayPal would be accepted as payment method as well.
  6. Sorry, not in the right forum (my question). [ March 22, 2007, 12:52 PM: Message edited by: tankibanki ]
  7. Im not an admin but I if they do it anyway similar to DropTeam then you can download it as often as you like.
  8. That was not an answer for your question. It was a reply to an earlier post. Judging from what has been posted here I would expect that to be possible. But for a final answer you'll have to wait for Moon.
  9. This is not the CMSF forum.
  10. The proving grounds is supposed to be used as long as you are tweaking your scenario and as long as you need input from testers. When your scenario is in its final form you're supposed to move it to the Scenario Depot. There is even a function in TPG which takes care of that for you.
  11. My thoughts exactly. I was wondering if I was the only one who thought so.
  12. I just noticed that the mod includes SS runes. Could you tell me the BMP number as I like the mod but do not want to have SS symbols on my PC?
  13. yes, that is exactly what happens, when I delete all DDS files the buildings are vehicles get their textures back. Thanks for all your efforts, I think we shouldn't put too many resources into this problem unless there are others who experience the same. It's not that important to get DT to work on that system since I can play it on my windows system.
  14. Something else has happened which is very weird: I downloaded the DDS texture pack and extracted it into the data folder. When running DT the game runs much more smoothly, but now everything is white, even vehicles and buildings.
  15. Thanks for your efforts. I have installed the necessary packages from the livna repository and something has definitely changed, because some 3D applications which didn't work after running the ATI installer work again. However when I let aticonfig write fglrx into my xorg.conf file the xserver doesnt work anymore ("cannot find screen"). From what I've read fglrx does not support my card: ATI mobile radeon 7500. Don't you think the problem could be somewhere else, not the driver? After all the vehicle and object textures are visible.
  16. tried the ATI installer, but that only messed things up, following your instructions now.
  17. I've got Fedora Core 6, There is no fglrx package in any of the repositories, I'll look on the ATI site tonight.
  18. if I change the driver to fglrx the xserver doesnt start anymore. I've also tried looking for packages with remotely similar names and didn't find any. I noticed that I don't have "freeglut" installed. Doing that now, could that be the problem?
  19. I'm using the radeon setting, will try fglrx. I've tested disabling all graphics options. Will post as soon as I tried. Thanks for the help so far.
  20. That's on my notebook. It's got an ATI mobile radeon using a fairly new radeon driver. I was thinking it might be a graphics file format problem, but libpng, libjpeg, gtk, etc are installed and other 3d applications run fine, e.g. the beryl desktop, so OpenGL should be ok.
  21. I finally got DT to work on my Linux system. However there is still one problem. When I launch a mission all the ground is just white and the framerate is very low. The vehicles and buildings are textured, it's just the ground and the map which do not work. Any idea how to fix this?
  22. There are other capturing programmes which need less resurces. I remember using SnagIt. It's more complicated to set up because it has got so many options, but there are ways to make it record more smoothly than Fraps.
