  1. You can try, but this will result in high poly numbers. In general, you can make more tiny feautures near map center (closer to edges polygon's 'tend' to be bigger and map is less detailed).

    I'm sorry, i didn't explain clearly. Why do you think that shell shock and fragment effects are too weak in the game? Usually mortar and artillery fire causes critical losses for advancing infantry. Infantry in trenches is more protected, but also will die from nearby explosion due to shock wave. Maybe you mean why explosions don't overturn and throw away stuff like guns and vehicles? It's not implemented now. Anyway, men near blast epicentre can't survive. If you see soldier stay alive in a shellhole of a blast it's a bug of course, but we haven't seen anything like this. If he survived at further distance he may be lucky, but it depends on explosion power.
  3. It's by design, in some campaign amd single missions you have access to units panel, and in some you don't. If i recall correctly, in all stock single missions you can't, but it's possible to make single mission which will allow player to choose units.
  4. Ah, the 'Units' button. It depends on mission design, do you have access to pre-mission force setup or not.
  5. If Passanger1 have a job 'passanger' without number, it's ok. There should be no passangers set to the same job, that's all (all must have different ones, 'passanger', 'passanger1', 'passanger10' ...). So, did it work after you've changed the values?
  6. Patch was installed with errors somehow or it was installed on wrong version. If you have DVD Battlefront version, Madmatt provided a fix for those who have problems with game after the patch... If you've bought your English version in Eastern Europe or in Thailand then Moscow patch wouldn't work (another versions). If you ahve downloaded the game from here, then the patch installed incorrectly somehow. Make sure there is no idle TOW.exe process after you try to launch the game. Try to launch another executable, TOW_14.exe. If nothing works, please uninstall the game, clear the directory, reinstall original version that worked and tell us which version it shows in upper right corner of main game menu.
  7. Maximum number of Faustpatrones one soldier can carry is 2 (and no other weapons), or 1 and other weapon. Maybe you soldier had another weapon too, that's why he received only 1 Faustpatrone.
  8. The game itself should work (use 'Run as Administrator' option for executable file as described on this forum), only editor will not start.
  9. It's because we have different versions i think and unit system changed somewhat... Don't copy the entire code, only change the jobs in your original file for 9th and 10th passanger from 'passanger' to 'passanger9' and 'passanger10' and nothing more.

  12. Probably a long shot, but do you specify UnitID in these commands? If your forces attack rects correctly but not units, maybe error is in UnitID.

AFAIK there were beaches with only MG defences, so you'll be able to recreate such landings with current MG bunkers (there are variations of them with slightly different fields of fire btw) and off-map artillery for both Allies (shore bombardment) and Germans (not sure they had it during initial landings).

  18. It's a bug, most probably typo. Here's right ones. Their 'Job' must be set like 'Name'. 'Job' 'passanger' was a already occupied by another soldier, that's why 9th and 10th couldn't get in. Also note that i've added Passanger9 to [Hull_Hull].   20. Excellent. Did you made it yourself or with a team? I see that even blast effects are redone!
  21. There are many ones, most current now is German TOW (not counting Russian version because it has a different name).
  22. Logging in as Admin is not enough for Vista to allow access for the program. You need to right-click on .exe file and choose 'Run as Administrator' from context menu.
  23. Vista doesn't allow the game to access it's own folder by default, so you need to run the game, setup and editors with administartive privileges ("Run as Administrator" in context menu).
