  1. After deploying, ATGM teams seem to run away. This happens on a consistent basis in many missions.
  2. Can anyone answer if this is a feature or a bug. It happens on a consistent basis now.
  3. Here is what im trying to emulate with that particular thing m.billy: "Speyer explains that the Russians were sloppy in talking in the open on their communications systems. Almost all Chechens speak Russian, and they were able to listen to Russian messages and transmit misleading instructions that redirected Russian artillery and aircraft missions. Russian interior troops in particular were careless about unsecure radio communications, Speyer adds. Dilegge adds that Russian forces ignored many other basic communications security procedures. In addition to not using cryptography, they did not regularly change frequencies because of the logistics challenges of synchronizing the process among every unit. U.S. forces, by comparison, change their communications format every 24 hours. Chechen officials claim that they could intercept Russian tactical communications on their own commercial off-the-shelf radios. Code phrases used by the Russians in open communications were easily deciphered and understood. Helicopter traffic, aircraft communications and satellite telephony all were intercepted, the rebels claim". http://www.afcea.org/signal/archives/content/May00/echoes-may.html
  4. Ok, Ive added a US JTAC so that the air will arrive in the overcast weather. Preplan arty is baked into the mission too, dont change the bm21 barrage from its initial setup. (the f15s could be overkill). vs AI: http://www.mediafire.com/?cnsindj4hwv PBEM: http://www.mediafire.com/?a4jmx1i212m
  5. This might be ze wrong forum but I think youll enjoy this (watch till the end): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isQH5Zq1lX4&mode=related&search=
  6. It COULD be the overcast weather. That coupled with a syrian FO guiding western equipment.
  7. Loosely based on various skirmishes of the second chechen war of 1999. NO PLAN for the red side. Only playable against AI from the blue side. Primarily made for PBEM or RT. Two versions are available. Not much room for manouver in this one, but that is done with a purpose. Feed me feedback folks. DL file vs AI: http://www.mediafire.com/?c4vxxmamzye DL file for pbem: http://www.mediafire.com/?cxzixztxxbd
  8. Is preplanned artillery baking possible without FO having LOS to the area?
  9. BM21 Grads does not seem to fire but a few spotting rounds. The variables tried were point, area and linear fire with general, personell and armour munitions. The spotter was special forces FO , Syrian side.
  10. BM21 Grads does not seem to fire but a few spotting rounds. The variables tried are point, area and linear fire with general, personell and armour munitions. The spotter was FO.
  11. Possible pbem bug: Using area fire to target invisible enemy unit(shows when you put area fire line over the suspected enemy position)..a red line from the firing unit will show, however, it will not fire at the designated spot.
  12. Nice! Empirical and to the point. Kudos The green weapon displays reveals no such info as one sees in 3d. For the record, I like being proved wrong at times like this. [ August 21, 2007, 03:49 PM: Message edited by: Schmoly War ]
  13. Searched for this & read the manual. Couldnt find the info. How do you assign units for different setup zones, e.g red zone 1, red zone 2, blue zone 1...etc.?
  14. If they do it does not show in the weapon display drawings. Any pictures of this? Or is it simply not depicted as an underbarrel launcher?
  15. Hmmmm, I fail to see the gp30 and the rpg18 with ANY formation. Any hard evidence to that theyre in there?
  16. The Louch, This is information ive been looking for myself. A quick check on google map will also show typical layouts for chechen villages. I see alot of these E (minus the middle -) shaped buildings. Bigduke; are these typically farmer buildings and single storeys? Ive been thinking about a Komsomolskoye type scenario or a Kizlyar raid one (which has to be the craziest insurgent raid ever, read up on it). The reports I read on the Komsomolskoye battle is that trenches were dug in between the houses and that reinforcements managed to sneak in (and eventually breakout) from the nearby woods. Could make for an intense fight. The village isnt really hi res on google map and this was the only overview I could find: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kizlyar_raid http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Komsomolskoye [ August 14, 2007, 09:02 AM: Message edited by: Schmoly War ]
  17. Ive not managed to unhide my troops in mp. Ive pressed hide once more, used any of the move buttons, fire, etc. Suddenly they wont do nothing but hide (unsurpressed). Anyone else with this problem?
  18. Trying it out in mp now. I have an affinity for this theater as well. You didnt add radios for the Basayev formations I see, though motorola radios were of widespread use and had certain advantages over the russian army ones.
  19. A PBEM, Al Hawl scenario; The sudden inability for me and my opponent to disembark our infantry from our bmps and strykers.
