  6. this is my updated list of what cmx needs: 13. bunkers where infantry can hide and fight from 14.medics. when a soldier is wounded at the begining of the battle and he ramains wounded for the rest half an hour is unrealistic becouse u would bleed to death if u didn't get any help. then every soldier would have to be symbolized instead of 3 soldiers shown per squad and i don't see that happening but this is just a sugesstion. 15. adding rooms,staircases and furniture to rooms. 16. having a basement level,roof level in buildings. also adding the bell tower level to churches but u can only put there like a sniper or a machinegun. 17. add skyscrapes with like 50 stories. 18. small helicopters can land on flat roofed buildings. 19. give infantry squads grenade lauchers or rpgs as anti tank weaopns or an kar15 with a grenade laucher attached to it and shown as a weapon in the little squad info window 20. booby traps like punji sticks (these could be mines) or a big bambo that's pulled back and when a tripwire is tripped it shoots forward 21. embarking infantry on hueys or blackhawks and embarking tanks or artilery guns under chinooks 22. letting on map artilery guns fire idirectly like when a squad with a radio asks for some arty support. but a guy with a radio would have to be close to the gun to get the message. 24. being able to burn off woods and stuff 25. letting infantry go thruogh shallow water like rice paddies 26. having something like this: if u hold the airfield u get air support but when the enemy gets it u don't 27. having small, fast, armed ships like patrol boats 28. having special ops squads 29. paratroopers that actually fall from the sky ok that would be it [ April 03, 2004, 07:36 PM: Message edited by: yacinator ]

  11. i would hate cm to become strategy\first person shooter. that would be a horrible end to this kickass game. i restate cm should get out of ww2 and move on. incedinary shells would be cool. instead of haveing to blow up a building i just burn the enemy out hehe. also airplanes should be armed with napalm. perfect against tanks. even if fire can't even scratch the armor it can cook the crew.
  12. it would be cool if howtizers could fire indirectly but only if the target is like 250 meters away. early war would be cool but i think cm should leave the ww2 era and enter like nam or modern combat

Michael Dorsh u said that with no fow u can plan out battles better. u probably can but there is no reason to becouse u can anihalate the whole enemy force in the first turn with an arty strike. and don't forget that ,as i said, it will disable snipers and ambushing. how the **** r u gonna take out a platoon of tanks with only some infantry if u can't ambush? what will the enemy ride into your ambush? no they'll just blow the hole place to hell with some 155mm arty
  14. can u tell engineers to blow a bridge by putting a target on it? will they just shoot at it with rifles or will they rig it up for detnation? i've never tried if they added civilians u could have a command interrogate and force interrogate. if u force intoerrogated the civilian might lie, but if he does u can always light up the village... also in an opperation word might spread of your acts of violence against civilians (if u leave survivors or let other civilians see the aftermath) they will be more likely to lie even if u use normal interrogate no "force"
  15. first if u move pows off of the map won't u lose points for them? i like to have all the pows in one placed together with a company hq (unless i'm using him as a rally point) or a depleted squad to guard. i don't think that 1 squad would be enough to guard them against an recapture attempt but it looks cool

  17. the planes were friendly to the pows and yeah u r right a truck would attract more atention but embarking pows on vehicles still has it's uses. like john kettler said in a hit and run raid u can take 2 extra halftracks to take 'em back to your base when u start to run becouse if they r walking the enemy will probably see where they r going since they r moving so slowly.
  18. i always play with full fow. xtreme is too xtreme and none is just stupid. i mean think about it : u caan't have snipers becouse u can blow him up with a 81mm mortar before he can take a single shot, u can't have ambushes becouse if u know that there is an ambush there u'll just flank them or call in an artilery strike on them, and flanking won't work eitehr becouse then they'll redeploy their troops to answer that threat. and then it's just gonna turn into napoleonic wars with both sides charging at each other like retarded assholes, no strategy , no tactics just pointless and boring slaughter
  19. yea putting prisonesrs in trucks to take them away would be cool. one time i was playing on a map i made myself and i took like 25 pows and all of them were blown up by friendly planes becouse they had to walk across the hill instead of just being driven to a safe place. lost all the points for them too.
  20. ya it would be cool if you told say shaken units to go near some women civilians and after 3 turns their morale jumps a couple of levels hehe also routed units, if there's no enemy close by, would get friendly with village girls and what do u know? their morale goes up
  21. i'm looking forward to a mondern combat combat mission. these are the things that i would love to see in it: 1.helicopters 2.ability to give orders to helicopters 3.remote controled claymore mines (that u can place after setup to make ambushes etc.) 4.painting enemy with a laser to call in an airstrike 5.hand held or mounted guided anti air missiles 6.make it so that troops can take cover behing vehicles 7.make 2 kinds of snipers 1 anti ppl with a .338 international acuracy (for brits)and an anti light vehicle berreta 82a1 .50 cal (for the americans) 8.improve building entering animation so like instead of walking through walls they kick in doors and stuff 9.vehicles coming out of viehicles like a stryker coming of a hovercraft that came of an assoult ship 10.besides regular front line troops add paramilitaries like cops 11.armed and unarmed civilians 12. tow anti tank guided missiles now a game like that would really kick ass this is a turn based strategy game and having a real time option would take away all the strategical thinking from the game and leave it with only stupid mouse clicking [ March 29, 2004, 10:23 PM: Message edited by: yacinator ]
  22. just one question: if my infantry (in an operation) comes across a gun and they kill the crew and in the status window it sais "abandoned" instead of "knocked out" in the next battle can my troops use it?
  23. ok u can have captured tanks but what about small arms. like can i have my italian squad take m1 rifles from an eliminated american squad?
